McGregor is having a really good game for Scotland atm, they lead in the Czech Republic 1-0.

Wales and NI currently 0-0, decent game, it's on the BBC website live.

Couldn't give a ****e about Ulster or Scotland. The Welsh I wish the very best. I think I'm one of those rare English people who like the Welsh more than the other Home Nations.

Just seen the England team for the Germany game.

Woy picked Welbeck over Vardy. Also noticed that his squad has zero players from West Ham, despite players such as Cresswell (a LB who has been superb this season, sonething England lack) and Noble having great seasons. Woy's comments on Noble were rather awful, suggesting players who've had a good season shouldn't be necessarily getting a callup.

So then Woy, you admitting you prefer club over form then, I presume? You ****ing arsecunt.

**** off, Woy. Just **** off.

The great Mark Noble myth is building up a head of steam. He's nothing special.

As for Welbeck over Vardy, I don't see it as a like-for-like choice. I think you have to choose between Vardy and Kane in the middle, rather than shoehorn both in. Kane to start and Vardy to wreak havoc off the bench makes sense to me.

Welbeck has done well for England, has looked good for Arsenal since returning, and fits well into that role.

I wouldn't have picked Noble either and you can hardly claim Danny Rose isn't having a good season.

    Neither is Henderson.

Welbecks played a few games after a bad injury. No need to play him.

Surely there is a need - in order to find out whether to play him in the summer?

Don't think of these friendly line-ups as first choice selections. He's experimenting - as he has to, with so many players injured, or returning from injury, or emerging late on.

Experimenting would be playing Noble and Vardy. We all know Welbecks decent. We all know Hendersons ****

So what is the XI Woy would like to play in the Euros if everyone were fit? I'm guessing: Hart; Clyne, Smalling, Cahill, Shaw; Henderson, Wilshere; Sterling, Rooney, Welbeck; Kane.

    (NB Woy's choice, not mine!)

Obviously Shaw is out. Woy seems to favour Gibbs, but that spot is open. The problem at CM is everyone is mediocre. In the 10 role I'd have Dele Alli, but you could make a case for Barkley. But let's face it, Woy will put Rooney there.

I'd definitely have Barkley and Alli in our starting XI.

Nigeria 1-1 Egypt yesterday, in front of 40,000.

The stadium capacity was 25,000. <yikes>

I completely blanked on Rose. <laugh>

I was concentrating on that Bertrand had dropped out of the squad and Woy decided not to replace him at all.

Agree 100 %. Get Vardy and Kane up front and bench Rooney.

However, what we will get is Henderson and Carrick in midfield and Vardy on the left to accommodate Rooney while Kane sits on the bench :steam:

My team would be (based on current injuries, etc.):

    Hart
    Clyne Stones Cahill Rose
    Dier Barkley
    Milner Alli Lallana
    Kane/Vardy

Can't choose between Kane and Vardy. Also, really don't like the CB choices bar Stones.

Alternatively, as he has played there, you could put Dier at CB, in which case I'd give Drinkwater his chance in CM.

There'd be a few changes to that if everyone were fit though.
