My mum, for giving birth to a courageous intelligent person, my sister. Obviously not me, I’m a mutant of a man.
Yeah yeah, this is supposed to be a piss taking thread.... Anyway, my mate Sarah. She set up a street food project in a town near where I live. She organises collections from supermarkets, cafes etc for their short date food and then her and her team set up a community kitchen to make healthy filling meals for the street homeless. The project started out as simply somewhere for people to get a hot meal, and now there are links to GP surgeries, counselling, drug and alcohol support, housing etc, so that people can drop in, get a hot meal and get support and advice for issues that have led them to become homeless in the first place.
I'd like to nominate Carrie Symonds ... unless there was a Turkey baster involved, that woman has suffered one of the most horrific ordeals that has ever been perpetrated upon the female of the species ....
I'm still not Googling and I'm not Googling to see if that's a real band either so don't get any ideas.
