With all this talk about a call up for Lambert, it got me thinking about other players in this impressive football-playing, hardworking side. If Alou Diarra was captaining France recently, where on earth is the outstanding Schneiderlin in that team?

Obviously Davis is N Ireland's linchpin, Boric deservedly recalled for a Poland side with some good keepers and the full backs have received u.21s call ups. When will Shaw break into the full squad? I think Clyne very much fits in with Hodgsons philosophy for England, but johnsons form suggests he has a wait on his hands. Marauding, eager to cut in and with a good eye for a pass (as well as great pace) I think he's had a better season than Walker and consistency could push him up the pecking order.

Anyone think Cork has a chance? And what of Puncheon? How good are these players really?

    Thoughts and debate welcome!

The 2 full backs maybe in the future and Cork possibly for England who knows what future holds as aim is to bring youth through and maybe if we are competing for the top 6 year in maybe more internationals will come

I read a statistic before yesterday's game that said Spiderman had put in more tackles than any other player in the Premiership - and he's done all that without collecting a hoard of yellow cards, which shows how effective he is. There's a case for saying he and Jack Cork are one of the best midfield pairings in the Premiership.
