So... do you still think that Holt is fit to pull on the three lions aside players like Hart, Barry, Johnson?

    Hart - sub-par today
Barry - Serial failure, file in the Bradley Wright-Phillips/Heskey section
Johnson - Bottler, went to city for the money, never make it as a full time player for them with their strike force

Grant Holt - England Number 9

It's reality, read the script. I know Holt has what it takes because I've actually watched him for 3 years.

After watching that game though isn't it clear there's a gulf of difference between a striker who's a big fish in a small provincial East Anglian pond and world class players like the majority of the Man City side?

Your absolutely right, we should take one of our other world class English strikers

Holt never stops working, if he has a partner to provide him with the service, he will score goals at any level!

Just be careful what you wish for... a humiliating international cock up might well dent his club career... look at Robinson, Green (ok noted they're both goalkeepers).

Oh and to make that point even more strongly, wish for Lawro to be axed and you have Garth Crooks instead! <doh>

Holt needs to go to the Euros as the ultimate middle finger to every team we've stomped on on our way up the leagues.

We'll all love him whatever happens

Grant Holt wasn't bad today at all. In fact, I would say played better than Barry and Hart did today!

Hampy has been on the sauce and thinks he can come on here and talk ****.

If Holt played for Man Utd he'd be in the top three premier league scorers, and a cert for the Euros.

    But he doesn't.

He plays for little Norwich, so his efforts and goal tally don't count for ****.

Also, for the record, WE ****ing love Grant Holt, and WE don't give a **** if YOU don't.

CAN I GET A MOTHA ****ING AMEN?!

I just think that better than not being called up at all, he could really shame your club by actually playing <laugh>

    Come on Wolves!!!!

When doesn't 'Hampy' talk ****? (Hate that nick btw, it's like we've adopted him, when in fact he's binner scum).

Predictable that he's here tonight. Careful what you wish for? What an idiot! We want Holty in the Euros because he deserves it. May dent his club career...ffs, what a load of bollux.

Do me a favour and piss off back to your deserted wasteland you call a forum.

    I thank you. <ok>

Looks like I've hit a nerve there <whistle>

I can understand you wouldn't want a Town fan here after such a humiliating defeat but I just wanted to see whether you still believe he could be an international player...

you're right Hamps, god it's so obvious i cant believe no one else has realised it.

England should take the Argentinian team to the euros!

And how does the big fish in a small pond work exactly? He's scored or played well against Man U, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and many other 'big ponds'.

Surely scoring against Big pond teams with only 'small pond' support and supply is even more impressive?

Who would you take instead, Carroll? His inability to play with any consistent success is surely even more shameful based on the money and talent behind him?

What he wants is or some Ipswich player from the 16th century to go up front. It's the only choice that will placate him.

    I'll warm up the DeLorean...
