    Hello, Canary fan in peace........................

Following a discussion on the Ipswich board a few days ago I would like you guys to come up with as many players from between 1970 to the present day who have been awarded FULL international caps (while playing for your team). Not u18, u21 etc - Any country.

I do not intend to turn this into a discussion type of thread or any kind of competition between our 2 clubs - just for interest, and maybe some surprises along the way as we go down memory lane.

If you can give me the name, country and approx year (in that order)

Off the top of my head:

    Peter Shilton - England - 1970-1974
Muzzy Izzet - Turkey - 8 caps between 2000-2004 including World Cup 2002
Kasey Keller - USA - played at World Cup 1998
John O'Neill - Northern Ireland - played at 1982 World Cup
    Emile Heskey - England - 1999-2000
    Theo Zagorakis - Greece - Captain 1998-2000
    Iwan Roberts - Wales - 1993-96
    Gary Lineker - England - 1984-85
    Keith Weller - England - 1973-74
    Frank Worthington - England - 1974
    Andy King - Wales - 2009-present
    Aleksander Tunchev - Bulgaria - 2008
    Matt Elliott - Scotland - 1997-2001

And that's all I can be bothered to think of at this time!

How dare you morons forget the legend that is Steve Guppy? Capped once by England against - I believe - Belgium at Wembley. Call yourselves supporters? Johnny-come-latelys if you ask me, probably all closet manure fans.

And you all forgot Frank 'own Goal' Sinclair.

Whilst I'm here - and not wanting to start a fight - anyone got any news on ja606.co.uk? Still looks dead to me, and has now been hijacked by someone else.

Haven't seen anyone mention Heskey. Also, what about our goalkeepers in the O'Neill years? Tim Flowers and Ian Walker. I seem to remember they made the bench at least while playing for us.

I remember their debuts for City against Cov though - they looked awesome! Sadly, it was their one and only decent game.....

I remember that game. Half the team was new signings.

Alnwick, Oakley, Bori, Laczko, Howard, Hayles all debuted
