Yeah I heard Pearce say Shaw's around two weeks away from a call-up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21060343
Is anyone excited about these call ups? Just annoys me, such a crucial time for such worthless games.
They're all nice. But I'm particularly happy for Boruc. When he signed, Artur said he was aiming to force his way back in. He now has! Just hope they all get back safely.
Does anyone know all players including Academy players we have that have International call ups in the last 18 months it would be an interesting stat?
Hope I'll see Boruc getting a run in Landsdowne next wednesday...and I hope he gets plenty of practice when he's at it!
Oh and Jack Cork, Jay Rodriguez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all featured in a friendly against Italy U21 just under two years ago although neither Cork nor Jay Rod were Saints players at that point.
