Is the international break good/bad thing for the Tigers, unbeaten in Six, won the last 3 home games and playing really well, will the 2 weeks off be too much for us?
i think its a good thing. NP and his team can take a step back and look at what has been achieved so far this season and since the last one. if the tigers have the same impact between this and the next international break(6th-18th nov) as they have done since the august one then a top 2 spot could be on the cards by the end of the west ham game on the 5th november. with the injuries city have this break allows more time to get more fit bodies back into the squad. so yes i like the breaks and with the england game on friday night i shall look around the lower leagues for a game. next saturday may take in a game from the lower leagues. York City v. Braintree looks a good one to me.
Will any of our lads be playing during the break apart from maybe Evans and Brady ( that's if the under 21's are playing). Koren is suspended and McShane is just back from injury and I can't think of anyone else being called up . With a fairly small squad I think a break like this is going to be a good thing . Give the boys a chance to re charge the batteries and all that .
Cairney's withdrawn himself from the Scotland U21's due to his injury, but Waggy's in the England U21's squad.
If I remember right it's usually a bad thing for us. You tend to lose the momentum especially if the teams a bit fickle. The lads who go away to International squads get a break in "City Team Concentration" and it's not always worked for us. I think we are on our way now and just hope we keep the good football going.
after the last international break city came back with wins @ peterborough and home to pompey so the same again please against brighton and watford when play resumes in a fortnight.
I don't mind a break from the football now and then, will be catching up with the F1 GP in Suzuka this weekend, will see if Vettel becomes Champion and if Hamilton has a TWF type effect on the other drivers again. Its a shame for us though really just as we are getting a head of steam going.
Probably a good break for us, get a few players rested and a chance for the likes of Basso to recover from their minor knocks without having to play them. We showed last time the international break did us no harm, i don't see why it can't be the same again.
totally agree. yes koren is suspended so i think city only have waghorn - brady - evans and gulacsi away this time. maybe cairney if his injury improves next week. but the rest can now rest there bumps and brusies and re-charge batteries for saturday week @ brighton. which is already sold out for the brighton fans.
