I'd say nowhere near the starting XI but I'd definitely have Barkely and probably Milner in the squad. Barkley's had a great season and although he's not done it in the three lions shirt, I think there's still a quality player ready to shine for his country at some point. Whereas Milner is OK to bring on to help preserve a lead as he's a bit of a work horse and won't mind a bit of hard graft, although he wouldn't be missed if he didn't get in the squad it has to be said. Stones needs to do a LOT more for Everton if he wants to get a ticket to France because right now he wouldn't justify an inclusion, thinking of it, how did he even get selected over Dann and Shawcross for the friendlies? Oh yeah... Roy Hodgson is our manager.

I'd say we should be looking at setting up either in a 433 or 4231 depending on the opposition. I think he's redundant in a 433 and in a 4231 I'd say he's competing with Alli, Rooney, Vardy and Sterling for the number 10 spot. I don't think he's worth taking at all. As for Milner, I think Noble should go instead, although I hope Hodgson picks Tommy Carroll instead just to wind up the West Ham fans :D

<laugh> Taking Tommy would send them suicidal. They lost their **** when Noble wasn't selected for these friendlies. Noble would deserve a slot though in fairness.
 
Proper WUMmery would be a press release such as "Carroll selected for Euro 2016 squad" .
Then when the Spanners get all excited that it is my little pony Andy, put "Tom" in the small print.

Obviously the career decision he made now looks a mistake, But I still maintain my original view that he should be respected for having the balls for taking the plunge when he didn't need to.

Having said that, I have no idea where his career takes him now.

I’m hoping it’s the started-every-game-give-me-a-****ing-international-break flu--though it seems it’s either not, or he’s missed his calling as a bulemic.
 
Feel sorry in a way for Neville, as Spurcat said he did have the balls to take such a high pressure vacancy but it was also pretty inevitable that the task was too big for someone with no managerial experience. I enjoy his insight on Sky when he covers the games and think he'd be better off doing coaching somewhere before going back into management, there aren't many better people around for players both young and old to learn from but I think he needs to work his way up to being manager instead of jumping straight in at the deep end.

Far as I know we're looking fine mate, no fresh injury concerns to worry about and to top it off, both Jan and Clint should be very close to being ready for selection seeing as they've trained for about 2-3 weeks now.

Some team news from Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, before his side's game away at Liverpool on Saturday.
"We need to assess a few players like Erik Lamela, who only arrived back today, but we’re happy with how everyone has come back," says Pochettino.
"Toby Alderweireld was ill but he’s OK. He trained with us Tuesday, Wednesday and today. Jan Vertonghen is very close."

Some more quotes from Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, who enjoyed watching Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in England's friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands.
"The generation of players that England have now, they are in a position to achieve good things for England.
"Harry is one of their best (strikers), but they also have Vardy, Welbeck, Rooney so this generation is fantastic. I tried to sit in my sofa and watch the game and enjoy it as a fan."
Pochettino also reveals Kane will no longer need the face mask that he has been wearing for the last few weeks. "Today, he trained without the mask and this is good for him as it does disturb you a bit to play with this on your face," added Pochettino.
