7 players called up for international duty after the Everton game. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/international-call-ups-260813-1010317.aspx It is a reflection of the improving standard of our squad but something we could do without, particularly the time spent flying long distances by Pitbull and Kimbo and Gunnar to a lesser extent. Hope they all return fit and ready for another long trip to Hull.
Fantastic news for the players concerned and this will raise the profile of our club even higher than it currently is, but from a selfish stance, I would rather all our players were 100% focussed on Premier League games.
I have no real problem with it, except for the chance of injuries, in this, Medel and Kim are my main concerns.
Great for the players careers and raising their profile but not too good for us with the worry of injury and the tiring effect travel can have on a player.
where tf are they travelling Taff, New Zealand? how can one get tired travelling unless doing a really long haul?
Kimbo to South Korea, Medel to Chile and Gestede to Benin (West Africa). The first 2 look pretty long haul to me and Benin must be a 5/6 hour flight at least if you can get there direct.
Caulker called up to the England squad after injuries to other players at the weekend. A great reward after sterling performances against Man City and Everton.
Saw that last night Bluey - well deserved even after just three superb back to the wall performances so far this season. Looks sheer class to me.
Looks a lot better now he 'stays at home'. Went walkabout too often in the WH game. I'm sure we'll release his attacking tendency once we've a few more games under our belt but needs to concentrate on the defending in the short term. Think Medel is the pick of the signings, but Caulker is a close second. Must admit that apart from Etien, MM hasn't wasted much in his signings and FC off-sets that and some.
Delcan John called into the Welsh Squad. Well done DJ Nine players in International action this week Read more at http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news...l-ups-260813-1010317.aspx#QSLlmmZppPQsqT1c.99
