The season is about to start, so it's time for you to make your predictions for this year's interforum league! :1980_boogie_down:

If you are late joining, don't worry, you will get some points for each race you missed (usually 20), and you can still help the forum in the league.

How to play:
  • Register on zdkf1and start your nickname with "not606”. (If you forget, please edit your nickname here.)
  • Add the other entrants whose nicknames start with "not606” as your friends.
  • Predict the pole position, pole time and top 10 finishers for each race.
  • The prediction deadline is 10pm (GMT) on the Thursday before each race (except Monaco).
  • How the scoring works on zdkf1

In addition to helping not606 fight against other f1 forums for the (poorly photoshopped) league trophy, you will be competing for individual awards including:
individual champion (most points on zdkf1; previously won in 2012 by not606's silverarrow);
6 tenths award (for most league points scored; won last year by not606's brightlampshade);
quali trophy (for best pole time predictor, previously won by not606's tomtom94 in 2012),
and the much-coveted bernie medal (for most victories).​
Not606 will once again be defending champions. Here's the league tables from past years: 2014; 2013; 2012, 2011.

Slightly late predictions can be emailed to [email protected] and if you post them on here I will include them towards the league.

Driver classes are now up on the site. If one of your selected drivers doesn't race (e.g. Alonso), then his replacement (e.g. Magnussen) will be used instead with the same driver class. Manor's drivers aren't on the site yet, but will presumably be added soon.

Better tyres this year? Cars 2 to 3 seconds quicker than last year at pre-season tests and I doubt they were running at full chat in FP3 last year...
2013 was also a "wet" quali... last try one was 2012, Hamilton stuck it on pole with a 1:24.9.. if dry, I'm guessing they won't be a millions miles from that time this year...
 
I think I read that Pirelli are expecting the cars to be 2-3 seconds faster than in Aus last year so my pole guess was... 1.26.5 or something around that. The cars improved a bucket load last year alone though, I'm sure they said they were 4 seconds faster at the end than at the start so surely they're going to be more than 2-3 secs faster in Aus.

Guess we'll soon find out!

Quali trophy
Only wtcbu from ja606 and I got within 0.25% of the actual pole time for 2 points; 7 other players got within 1% for 1 point including dhc :emoticon-0148-yes: and bls :emoticon-0148-yes:.

Do you think we should scrap this board for the moment and use the off topic prefix until traffic on the f1 board improves? It will give the games some better exposure and may even improve board activity.

Quali trophy
Well done to stairs from sportsbabble for scoring the maximum 3 points towards the quali trophy by having the best pole time guess out of everybody on zdkf1. No one else scored towards the quali trophy this week.
