You gotta love it, DM says beach huts are worth as much as a 3 bed house in Liverpool and someone bit. You could get 4 beds and 2 acres in the fens for that. You could get a whole street in parts of the UK.

It must be because such a huge number of Irish migrants settled in Liverpool. More per capita than anywhere else in England I'd wager, (though Manchester's not far behind) due to its proximity to Ireland.

Look at some of Liverpool FC's scouse players over the years; Callaghan, McDermott, Aldridge, McManaman, McAteer, Gerrard, Carragher. All Irish names/heritage but as scouse as they come.

I agree with you,no planes dem days couldn't afford it, they all went over on the 'cattle boat' as it was called and ferries in latter years.I was only jesting sure some of Britains best musicians are all descendants of Irish i.e The Smiths(all of them),McCartney,Lennon,The La's,Oasis,New Order/Joy Division sure the list goes on and all from that region.

ps have a distant relative in Liverpool from me Dads side and the missus has 3 uncles over there as well.
