On average, they now earn 14 times what they were in1984/5!!!! Makes for very interesting reading. Apparently, whilst the rest of us are having to foot the bill for the banking fiasco, for which we had no responsibility and control over, footy players are seemingly completely excluded from this 'pain'. It would seem we are NOT all in this together after all.
It never bothered me back in the eighties when they were making double or treble what I was earning. The obscene amounts they are getting now does bother me, especially when very mediocre players earn so much for doing so little. Getting more in a week then the fans earn in a year!
