Since the Championship came into being the team with the worst GD has always been relegated. (and it was the same before that in the old L1) 2004/5 Rotherham -34 2005/6 Brighton -32 2006/7 Southend -33 2007/8 Colchester -24 2008/9 Southampton -23 2009/10 Peterborough -34 2010/11 Scunthorpe -34 City currently have the worst -29 So it's time to both score goals and stop shipping them!
As Andy says pointless stat, stands to reason if you have **** goal difference means your Nice try to wind us up though, it's like saying league position over the last 12 years have suggested we are the better team than you, pointless saying it when it's obvious
.........................City wins..Draw......Rovers wins .....City goals...Rovers goals At Bristol City........24 ........18............11................. 86.............55 At Bristol Rovers .....19........15...........18..................68..............68 Total....................43..........33...........29.................154.............123 Taken from Wiki, don't give a **** about 82 it was still Bristol City, so just some stats for you This don't come as I printed it sorry, it closes up the spaces so used dots
The point is, and it's a fine line, that the team with the worst GD doesn't always end up bottom, but ends up in the bottom three. Your only hope may be Portsmouth.
taken from wiki.... it must be true then i might add stats from another club and combine it with rovers stats to make it fair seeing that your using stats from 2 different clubs (bcfc and bcfc 1982 ltd)
quite strange for a rovers 'fan' to go to all that trouble and retrieve these stats for the Championship, what interest would he or the rovers have in the Championship?
dont matter about 82 my sides yeah lets forget your a NEW club since 82 you 82er (your OS says so too)
They got booted out of Eastville, paid rent at Ashton Gate and Twerton Park, let down Cheltenham, nicked a ground from Bristol Rugby, had it nicked off them by the memorial company who they now pay rent too and are now proposing to pay £43m for a stadium and a 999 year lease when Sainsbury's hasn't even got planning permission. Talk about transients and con-men..
All this banter is quite sad really. The reality is we are a major UK city who have had no Premier League representatives which is frankly shocking. I would rather we were both Premier League clubs putting Bristol on the map and aiming to finish higher than one another in the highest league in the land because in reality neither club has a lot to boast about and that's the truth and yes it hurts!
