    I've just read the article and it seems the easiest way to try and stop the time-wasters.

    Rugby League stops the clock when there is an injury or a review on a try etc. <ok>

    Definitely needs something like this.

    70 mins would be a better starting point as the fans might actually get some value for money then.

    get fit for 70 when you're used to 55?

    In Oz they used to stop the clock while a player was setting up his kick for goal. They stopped it after a while because it was adding some ten or more minutes to the game after the player had f*cked about stepping backwards and forwards a dozen or so times before actually taking his kick, and the other players were 'tired' from the extra time added on, bless 'em. They didn't consider the time wasted in setting up as a rest.
