To be fair if we'd have signed Kuipers on a permanent then we would never have signed Myhill, so it's all swings and roundabouts.

 

Goodison did alright for us , it was elsewhere the real problems lie

First played for Jamaica 4 years after signing for Gillingham and a year after leaving them. How on EARTH can he be called an "import"?

Plenty of other things he can be called, of course...

 

PS I never saw Viggo Jensen play, but he must be worth a shout for City's best import. Theo and Goodison deserve a mention, too.

Bit of a cheek giving best import to someone Tranmere signed from another English club. Should be limited to players they imported themselves.

Viggo was probably the best long term direct import to play for the tigers and Alf Ackerman the next though he did come after he had played for Clyde as a teenager.
