IMO we should'nt sell or set up anything regarding players until the new manager comes in and decides what is surplus to requirements.
Let alone any of our best players..

    we should sell Marv...£1.5m

    nm £ 4.8m

    addy£ 5m

cisse .5m unless he gets games then £1m

    rid of DJ

RID OF clarkie he deserves a good club as does LJ Retire Carey
    sell skuse £.5m....

Steve landsdown AND WIGGERS should pick the team from the remainder and get in a new manager in March, this time of the year any AVAILABLE managers tend to be FAILURES................

THEN POACH A MANAGER FROM THE LOWER LEAGUES PAY PEPPERCORN WAGES BUT GIVE A £3M bonus for getting to the play offs, and extending his contract to 2 years more

I usually agree with a lot of what you say but afraid not this time..

Marv is never going to be worth £1.5m again, we had our chance to sell him for similar money but he's not been playing at that standard for a good few years now. NM will be worth £2-3m tops depending on how desperate for a striker teams are in Jan. And i'd keep Cisse too!

Hey Jambo its good you disagree, AT LEAST YOU give it a bit of thought, marv has got to worth £1m plus though, I like Cisse thats why he should go along with the others so they can better their careers or finish them on a successful note without the hassles that seem to haunt ASHTON GATE over the past 3 years.

ONEFOR sometimes if you look at something, anything and do nothing hasty you see it as a different picture, maybe the picture that is intended.

WE have a surplus of midfield and strikers, we need to REBUILD, SO HOW CAN WE DO THAT WITHOUT STRENGHTENING THE SQUAD.

Before you say we dont need to, then why did KEEF, WHO HAS NOW RESIGNED, GET THE BLAME FOR SOME OF OUR WEAKNESSES???

We have some younger players in the squad who need more EXPIERIENCE around them to develop, we also need to get some money in the kitty TO GET the expierience.

Getting rid of NM WHO JUST HASNT PERFORMED, ADDY who we could do good business with, etc etc we have the space and money to do something, we need to downsize dramatically before we explode under our own excesses, Without KEEF our situation is no different BCFC is obese, needs slimming.

with wiggers in charge we could do a KEEFER and pick up more than 1.5 points a game...new manager could build on that, likewise could be cra****

AS I CLEARLY STATED BEFORE THE BRIGHTON GAME, ALTHOUGH LOADS SAID IT WOULDNT HAPPEN THEY WERE CERTS FOR TOP6
" I HOPE THEY DONT SNEAKILY BEAT US BEFORE THEY GO ON A DOWNWARD SLIDE".... heyho lost 3..GET POYET OUT! BEFORE THEY FINISH IN THE BOTTOM 6!

Don't get me wrong, we do need a massive rebuilding process with a lot of players shipped out. I just think if we're getting rid of players like Marv and Skuse then we need to have Cisse in the middle of the pitch to help new players cope better before the inevitable comments such as 'he's no better than LJ' begin...

All through the summer I said we should sell NM as we could have put the money to such better use as far as i'm concerned. Hope to see players like Ribeiro, Bolasie, Reid etc given a chance in the coming weeks. They can't be any worse than what we've seen so far!

    Totally wrong John.

We don't need to start from scratch at all......with the right manager to play players in right positions, using right tactics we will soon climb up the league.
Certain managers are able to get more out of their players.......For the record, GJ was good at that.
Also, when you are doing well your players will be worth more..

The only players out of position as far as i'm aware would be Pitman and Stead being wide left at times? We started playing 4-4-2, got torn apart, went to 4-5-1, couldn't score a goal, changed back to two up top, still didn't win...
What tactics do you actually suggest that we haven't tried yet?? I agree that a new manager will get more from the players but I think we over-estimate the current squad.

Cisse will make a massive difference in the middle but I think some of the old guard that have been here a while need either a kick up the ass or replacing. A new manager is going to want his own team and Marv in particular was completely KM's golden boy.

I disagree about Wigan, it is a work in progress by the same bloke who built the current Swansea side who are impressing everyone with the quality of their football, this year and the last 2.

Martinez is another example of a manager who knows what he is doing and loves to play the game - Dave Whelan recognises this and has given him the time to try and build the same there and I believe that he will have Wigan towards mid table this year.

I am also a believer that our current woes are nothing to do with the formation or tactics but the failure of the previous incumbant to motivate this team - with the right man in charge (Mcinnes), I believe that we will fly up the table with the same players...

    jambo

its nice to see you have a wide vision....IT IS ALL TO DO WITH what you have got to play with, I said it at the end of last season, and pretty soon in the start of this NM IS NOWHERE AS GOOD as we once thought he was

He is hindering the progress of the other strikers

    "
" ..this comment is exactly where I am making my point.
ALSO how many millions did KEEF GET IN THE SUMMER TO BOOST THE SQUAD??

WHERE ARE OUR QUALITY CM and full back..

Is Stevie a hypocrite, backs Keef BUT GIVES HIM a few bob, then accepts his resignation and puts in a new manager with the promise of a few million to spend?

WE aint doing well and havent all season, the defence is diabolical, are you saying in your mails of previous weeks the bad tactics are/ also cover the defence??? Pretty much every contributor on here when giving their "team" have the same back 4, they ship goals and are basically rubbish...why do we pick them??? its not rocket science, they are the best we have got, and as for a manager giving them tactics " right lads, we have a choice of 2 tactics today, we let goals in or we stop them"

IT is the failure of the players on the pitch that have led to more than half of our problems so far, especially in the last quarter.

To be honest he's scored some great goals for us, but he's been out injured for a long time last season and being brutally frank I've never seen him as being a top Premiership striker. Not now or in the future.

When (and this is almost inevitable) he plays in the Prem, it won't be for one of the biggest teams as he's simply not at that level that a Man U, Chelsea will want to buy. When he plays in the Prem it will be for a Fulham, Bolton, Blackburn, Swansea Wigan, etc. He'll make a very good living (not that he doesn't now) and a pile of money but the fact he's been picked this year when looking distinctly out of form has done us no favours.
