After the most dramatic three years, where success came so quickly, with such a good group of people, I'm really disheartened to see two of the main components seemingly causing these recent worries. Why oh why would either of them contemplate leaving, I just don't get it! Paul Lambert is young, he has many years ahead of him to make these tough decisions, many years to further his career or damage it, whichever way it goes.
Then theres Grant, at 31 he does not have the same luxury, this shall be his last big money maker contract. But one things for sure, he has earned a big contract after not just last season, but the previous three. But, I fear he is going about it the wrong way, I really hope he does not throw legend status down the pan on the advice of some agent.
I hope these stories turn out to be media hyped, a bit of a storm in a tea cup, because being a Saint I can relate to the discomfort, the agony, the waiting in limbo as other teams start wrecking the next seasons plans before pre-season has even started.
Keep the faith guys, the spirit you've created will surely give you hope & belief.
