Greetings, Pompey friends. This is my first post on here, so thought it worth sharing a view from the terrace (literally) on Burton Albion. Last weekend we weren't playing so I took the opportunity to take up a long standing invite from a mate to go to Burton. Burton were playing Oxford (remember them?). In the first half Burton looked the more dangerous, but a bizarre refereeing decision saw them go down to 10 men (note to Pompey management: pack lots of bung money). Oxford scored straight after half time and that was game over, really. Burton decided that the gods were against them and gave up. They got lots of balls into the box, but their number 9 couldn't jump, while Oxford's number 6 headed everything clear. I could see how Oxford were doing OK, but left having no idea how Burton had been 3rd at the start of play. I can't remember a clear chance for Burton, while a player running at their defence was ushered through or hacked down leading to a card. So if you don't win on Saturday ... Meanwhile, just to say as a Saint for more years than I care to remember, how pleased I am that you are still in business. As a citizen of Chester these days, take a look at their past 3 years and they fell one hell of a long way. See you in the Prem. We'll be waiting.
