Teacher at Kilwinning Academy has been struck off after a few minor indiscretions. Celtic Mad Fenian David McNally told his S3 pupils "Hitler wasn't all bad. He killed the jews, gays and disabled". The normally quiet teachers then asked them "are you a jakey" and "did you have sex at the weekend". On another occasion he said to them " I didn't want to be a teacher. I would rather have been a prison warden or a child abuser" He also made inappropriate comments about Jimmy Savile which were not detailed. Seems a nice chap. McNally in his defence suggested he made the comments during a particularly bad day in a long career. Fair enough.
I agree it is harsh, but in this poker up the arse age we live in with the uber offended, it's not really surprising, is it?
