Mourinho telling a member of his coaching staff that “we’re f**ked” because Harry Kane had been ruled out for three months is not ‘astonishing’, nor does it suggest anything but the fact he was constantly aware a documentary was being filmed and he knows what makes for compelling viewing.

Don't think any of them would feature tomorrow other than the bench.

Matip really just can't get a run can he.

Two or three weeks out with 'knocks' or hamstrings is one thing, but Joel needs a relatively injury free season.

    Patience will be wearing thin.

Thiago tested positive for Coronavirus. Was that why he has been missing?

Yep, the PL said yesterday that 10 positive tests were returned but it's up to clubs to name them.

It’s going to get interesting when those numbers increase further...which it inevitably will. What happens, for example when several from one team test positive?

Exactly. How many cases for a team unable to play? And how many delays before its all stopped

Happened at the weekend didn't it? Can't remember who it was but a team wasn't able to fulfill their cup fixture so the other team progressed, no second chance

yep, Leyton wasn’t it? But that was a lower league team in a cup match. No disrespect but there’s no money there.

now let’s say a team or teams like ourselves, City, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal Have issues, what do they do.

Whatever they apply to the first time it happens has to be done for the remainder of the season. So if they force clubs to use their squads/kids initially but then change that if it becomes a bigger issue, it would be unfair on those early teams.

I don’t have an answer tbh, just that it will be interesting to see what happens when it occurs!

Spuds got a by, opponents were willing to play reserve players but PHE said no, when asked to play at later date Spuds said no.

now apply this to, say, the Manchester or Merseyside Games....you think the outcome will be the same?

Nope, there will/would definitely be a re-arranged fixture.
Really think the Spuds should have accepted a re-arranged fixture and given Orient a chance of a big pay day though.

Dangerous precedent to set by not rescheduling. Teams would surely look at that and do the same to them given the opportunity. Kind of like the player injured in warm up sportsmanship

it did seem harsh on them tbh but when you consider that they are playing 4 games in a week, I can understand Spurs logic too. Shame really but the cups are clearly a sideshow to the main event(s); That is the league and Euro competitions.

think the later rounds have bigger gaps between them . wouldn't be surprised to hear that Chelsea were also against a rescheduling as that would have moved tonights match .

    Jordan Henderson injury latest

Liverpool will assess the fitness of Jordan Henderson to determine whether he can be involved in Sunday’s Premier League encounter with Aston Villa.

The captain has been sidelined since picking up a muscle issue during the first half of the 2-0 win at Chelsea on September 20.

However, Henderson is set to participate in elements of Friday afternoon’s training session at Melwood and could be considered for a role at Villa Park.

He will then join up with England for their Wembley fixtures with Wales, Belgium and Denmark during the international break.

Jürgen Klopp told his pre-Villa press conference: “Hendo will be part of parts of the training today. He will start with warming up, maybe some passing, maybe some rondos, we will see as a first step.

“He has absolutely no muscle issues. It is all fine, he is not injured anymore, so now we have to make sure he can make the next step. What that means for the weekend, I don’t know.

“I was in close contact with Gareth Southgate and it is clear he will use the time with the national team for getting match fit because Hendo had four or five days of nohttps://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/410985-jurgen-klopp-aston-villa-jordan-henderson-injuryrmal pre-season before he played the first game for us because of the situation we were in. I hate when players just get back from injury and straight into England squad.

Actually I hate when our players are called up in general.
