They happen all the time , but name the top 3 Best and worst for the Gills 3 Good needed 2 Bad needed (I already know your top 1 on this one (Dickov Nuff said!!). Think on this one let me know next saturday after I post the "Saturday Treble) I lost by the way!!
norwich at home 97th min equaliser, when we outplayed them all game (2 points that would have kept us up!!)
1. hessenthaler away at stoke, 2000 2. jackson at wembley, 2009 3. michael flynn at wolves, 2005 1. eugen bopp, forest, 2005 2. random wolves player, molineux, 2005 3. dickov
Great thread! BEST 1. Hessenthaler away at Stoke (ultimately resulted in 5 years in the Championship) 2. Jackson play-off final (resulted in just the one year in Lg 1) 3. Mulligan and then Dean McDonald at Priestfield, to turn a 1-0 loss into a 2-1 victory over Chesterfield (2006 I think) WORST 1. Has to be Dickov for the sheer misery it caused (thankfully only for 1 yr) 2. Eugen Bopp (although not convinced it happened in injury time) 3. Swindon goal at Priestfield, which virtually sealed our 07-08 relegation
Best... Bob Taylor v Fulham simeon v aston villa Hess V stoke Worst Dickov Eugene Bopp The soft goal that Julian let in against Torquay 2 seasons ago
Was Mark Saunders away at Ipswich injury time? Remember we won the game 4-3 and I spilt hot coffee all over my lap when I saw it.
3 Good Jackson at Wembley for me. If for nothing more than the noise the crowd made. Hess at Stoke to echo all others. Lead us to a brilliant spell in The Championship. (I'm cheating here) But Andy Thomson's goal in the last minutes of extra time in the 2000 Play-Off final. 3 Bad Dickov's was the worst for me in the '99 Play-Off Final Horlock's in the same game was a last minute/injury time goal if I remember? Really got the nerves going before the above heart breaker. Struggling for a 3rd here. Much easier to remember the good times!
