Like all of you I've been really concerned about the effect injuries are having to our season. Along with a great many others I've advocated a review of training , pysio and medical treatment methods. I don't go to training sessions so I don't know what the causes are.
What has occurred to me is that Bruce is likely to be using a training regime similar if not identical to that used at Old Trafford. Man. Utd. are so successful that very few of our players will have ever reached those hights. Maybe part of MU's success is their training and could it be that it is a severe shock to the bodies of our players?
If we aspire to becoming a more successful Club perhaps we have to demand far more of our players and the difficulties we our facing this season is the price that has to be paid as players adjust to the demands on their bodies.
We all know we are never going to achieve over night success and perhaps we are still as a Club going up a steep learning curve. Keane needed to bulk up the squad to achieve the Premiership and hang on in there. Bruce has been weeding out those that don't meet the standard expected and bringing in replacements that are better. Perhaps the next very important step is assembling a squad that can meet the highest standards on the training ground. Let's not forget it took SAF years before he achieved anything at Old Trafford so I've come to the conclusion that we should back Bruce.
    Any thoughts on this?

I don't think it can be the techniques, we've had him for three years and this sort of thing's never happened before. It's a mystery...

I know that there a question mark over Bruce bringing back players too soon but could it just be that we've been really REALLY!!! ****ing unlucky when it comes to injuries

it wasnt his fault turner slid into a post and done his knee ligaments or that gyan pulled a hamstring running for the ball as is so common these days.

I tend to agree with you Kirky that it has just been pure bad luck.

Yes, one or two players have definately been brought back too soon, but another possibility to consider is players declaring themselves fit to help out a beleaguered Steve Bruce when they have clearly not fully recovered from injury.

Training techniques can only vary so much from club to club, so I think we have just been really unlucky.

More than just bad luck, Dorset. Even Bruce himself has said it needs to be looked into. Too many hamstrings!!
