Hiram Boateng has returned to Palace for further treatment on his leg injury.....no talk of him not coming back as yet.

Good news on McCormick and Reid.....they should be back in training next week.

Hartley's foot injury is only bruising, no sign of a break.....so that is also good news also.

No mention of Threlkeld's injury from Tuesday at the moment.

It's getting like Emergency Ward 10 at Home Park. Only those of a certain age will remember that one...

Just read on the beeb site that Cox has been loaned to Stevenage. Bit surprised with that one as we don't have the biggest squad. Mind you the beeb site says Hartley is on the way back from a hamstring injury when I thought it was a bruised foot.

Only for a month of course ....if he breaks down during that time it isn't our team that suffers....I know that that sounds selfish but in reality we haven't played with him under Adams.....so if he comes through unscathed we will benefit...without having risked him in our own squad.

Sounds like most of them are on their way back now and given we have over a week to go before the next match we should have pretty much a full squad again. Boetang seems well on the way to recovery and there is talk of him extending till end of season. Hope so and much prefer him to Croll. Carey seems a bit of a worry but we shall see how all that is going next week.

Reports suggest that Graham Carey will be out until the new year with a medial ligament injury.....he was seen on Saturday with his leg heavily strapped so he couldn't bend it or twist it.....he was on the pitch involved with a Foundation presentation......might miss the whole of January.......we are certainly having no luck at all regarding injuries......Adams did suggest that there will be no one else returning to the squad until the new year.....what the hell is going on down there.

What's going on is too many conflicting stories coming out. Previous indications were that the injury list were well on their way back i.e. back in training. Now we get none of them are with the exception of Hartley who was playing on Saturday.

Injury update on Reid and Boateng......Derek Adams has said that Rueben Reid has had a set back with his recovery from injury.....having already missed ten games it seems that he was nearing being fit again....but the injury has resurfaced and Adams doesn't know when he will be available for selection.....to replace Reid would cost serious money....so his fitness is important.

Hiram Boateng has been out roughly 6 weeks says Adams and is back at Palace receiving treatment....it is possible that he could return soon before his loan spell finishes in early January.

No mention of how long Graham Carey will be out.......Luke McCormick was on the bench last week....will he be back for the Hartlepool game ?.....we need him to marshall the defence....they are giving away sloppy goals at present.....we can't afford that to continue with limited attaking strength.

You can see why Reid has had doubters in the past can't you. He is something of a sicknote. Everytime he goes on any sort of form run he seems to get injured and it goes on and on. We miss several people above the others. McCormick is probably a joint main one with Carey for me. I have severe doubts about Walton. Then I think we miss Boetang next. He is way better than the other Palace player we borrowed. Think we can do without Reid as we are not short of scoring talent in other places.

I read a positive statement from Boateng somewhere within the past few days - but then, Reid was supposed to be close to a return...Boateng is a miss (as they all are) - a big lad with energy and decent skills.

It looks as though we need to batten down the hatches over the festive period and scrape any points we can. Shame the Carlilse game wasn't cancelled really, let's hope for more rain.

I think Adams needs to to think about 4:2:3:1 during this period. Reid is a good all-rounder and can play in that lone striker role. There were remarks during the Cambridge game about how isolated Brunt was up there: he's a tryer but not not in the same class. 4:4:2 anyone?

As long as he doesn't go back to putting Jervis up there on his own.
