He was on the bench though. I think it was just a case of not wanting to play the Egyptians unless he had to because of the traveling (so Rosie is definitely a goner in the summer). I know Boyd layed the full 90 for Scotland midweek, but he was rested in the first game and only really had to travel for one game, the Egyptians had to travel for both because they don't play for a home nation.
It was good management by Steve Bruce to not play either on that awful Udders pitch. I suspect both will be back and rarin to go tuesday. Watfords defence looks all over the place at the moment and they have lost another defender to add to the long list they have. Nyron Nosworthy being the most recent since before good friday.
Great news,i think this will mean Alex Bruce coming in for Faye,as i don't expect he'll be fit enough unfortunately.
How does Quinn playing allow Bruce to move back to CB? It's been either Bruce or Meyler as the DM for about 2 months now so with Meyler out I'd have thought Bruce will definitely play DM. I suppose Evans could get a chance though.
