I just read that Nigel Clough is hoping/expecting John Brayford will be back in Saturday's squad. How about our casualties? Cam Stewart? Daws? Waggy??? Anyone at the training yesterday and saw how things are?
Waggy has been expected back every game since mid-October now and it's never happened so I suppose there will be some sort of announcement saying he is 99% fit and then he'll miss out again. Barmby, Pusic, Daws god knows. Stewart, hope so!
Surely Pearson will take Waghorn straight back if he has the right. They've lost Vassel for the season.
Waggy can be recalled immediately and may well be, so I'm not sure we should bank on seeing him again. Dawson and Stewart should make the squad, but I can't see either getting a start and I believe Pusic, Olofinjana are Garcia are all a couple of weeks away yet.
That's why I put "Waggy???". I wouldn't know if he'll be available. Barmby will surely not even be on the bench, fit or otherwise? (Or will he sub himself as an impact late on?). Pusic I hope is ok again, so we have width and Koren in the centre. UTT
he does not. on loan til Jan. unless of course this is just another area that both clubs are arguing over at the moment. if i were waggy i would wish to stay and be coached by Nick Barmby not NP. we shall see i guess.
I wouldn't play Wagstaff anyway, as talented as the lad is his head just won't be in it for us now.. McLean and fryatt for me, possibly adebola or Brady in the mix up there if we go 4-3-3 again.
A loan(unless it's a full season loan) can be recalled at any point after the first 28 days, they can recall him tomorrow if they want.
I saw the conversation about this the other day, but isn't it down to whether a clause was agreed in the deal rather than league rules regarding all loans? As Sven was manager at the time, I'd suspect there wasn't one.
I was encouraged when the regular injury updates from the club started, but they don't seem to be very accurate in terms of when players are likely to return (Pusic and Waghorn for example). I sometimes wonder if there's a bit of mis-information going on to make opposition managers think our players will be fit when they won't.
i thought city had him on a loan until jan regardless ? but to be honest city played there best games without him. wonder what waggy himself wants now ? is this another area of argument between the 2 clubs. NP return is not a popular one thats for sure. not much love there either for NP. the money should compensate.
Is Waggy with us at the moment? I know that players we have loaned out were returned to us for treatment and, when fit, we sent them back. I don't know if we sent Waggy back??
I think the reason we asked for Cullen, Cooper, etc. to come back was because the treatment available at their loan clubs wasn't as good as what we could give them and as they're youngsters we want them getting the best treatment possible to ensure they have a future ahead of them.
Oh right, cheers. I didn't know if it was the norm that an injured player goes back to his parent club for treatment
Pearson took Waggy to Leicester, he then brought him to us, I fully expect him to take him back to Leicester now. The settlement is unlikely to involve Waggy, league rules permit them to recall him if they want to, we could have a gentleman's agreement, but I get the impression that things aren't that gentlemanly at the moment. Joycey owes us one now, we should just nick another Man United kid in his place.
I AGREE. . it appears that there is a massive Bun Fight going on. You have to hand it to the Allams for standing there ground. we dont have rush it anymore as NB is in place. if NP is not announced by close of play today then this may drag on much longer. 3rd december is gonna be a rip roarer of a game.
