We are almost safe but where do we go from here? This season has seen us with an injury list as long as the proverbial arm. Starting early in the season with the odd problem come December it became worrying then from January frightening. At one time we had thirteen or forteen players out of action. With twenty five registered this was a disaster in the making.

We just about made it but still have four or five out including our main striker, some are playing on with problems. Surley we have to thank the players and coaching staff for their great efforts since Christmas but need to address the overiding problem. Most of the injuries have not been sustained from bad tackles in competition but on the training field, something is wrong somewhere. Other teams have had injuries but ours must have been the worst in the leagues.

Next season should see us moving up the table once again with a fully fit team. Our players in waiting have been given their chance and ought to be better for it. Their experience this season should prepare them for 2011/12. I think we will do well next season and be in the top third if our injury record is OK though we may need to buy a couple of players. A few will be sold or given a free of course.

Now all we require is another point or Sheffield United to drop one or gain an eight or nine goal diff in two matces.
