The Icelander, 34, played for much of the campaign while nursing an ongoing groin complaint but has not featured since being substituted during the FA Cup defeat against Chelsea in January. Rangers were hopeful that Helguson would make a quick return to action but he has continued to struggle with the problem. He may be able to train with the rest of the squad later this week but boss Mark Hughes does not expect him to be available for Saturdayâs vital game against fellow strugglers Bolton. âHeâs still a number of weeks away yet,â said Hughes. âHeâs progressing though and has upped his training.â Helguson is QPRâs top scorer this season with nine goals. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/injured-qpr-star-referred-to-specialist/ Doesn't sound like he's in contention for the Bolton game. A shame as he could be a real impact player against his old employer.
I would have loved him to replace Zamora for the last 20 mins just to keep Bolton on the back foot (irrespective of score).
I was hoping he would be back. HH, Cisse and Zamora would be a good set of forwards. The others are a bit lightweight.
