Rather embarrassingly, I injured myself when I jumped up celebrating Johnson's goal today: knocking my knee on the seat in front of me. I can't help it, when Norwich score, I cheer/fist pump/jump up, it's a reflex action. I'm now limping around the house.

Has anyone else sustained an injury while celebrating?

Years ago in an evening match v Bolton I was a bit late leaving the bar at half time.
Hearing the excited roars of the crowd, I hurtled up the steps to my seat in the lower Barclay - tripped and fell on my outstretched hand and broke a small bone in my wrist (Scaphoid bone).

Iwan Roberts scored twice for us to equalise - I didn't even stand up when the goals went in. Too much pain. A & E and a plaster cast from wrist to elbow the following day <doh>

It happened a long time ago in 1985, I didn't injure myself but my mate surely did. We both were in the middle of the Barclay terrace on that memorable night when we were playing Ipswich in the Milk (League) Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg. Mark Barham swung in the corner kick, Brucie headed home and we all went abso ballistic. I looked around but couldn't see my mate WTF had happened to him ? I then spotted him in heap on the floor, writhing in agony. When the goal was scored, the fool was standing in front of a crush barrier with his arm wrapped around said barrier. The crowd had surged forward crushing his arm against the metal structure breaking it in two places. He was in so much pain but would not leave until the final whistle and the celebrations that followed. Afterwards he said that he would go through that pain again if it meant he could experience such a moment again. Top that !!!

I tried to put a striker off for a penalty by doing the "Spaghetti Legs" (as per Grobbelar) and tore the medial ligaments in my knee. Failure of monumental proportions.
