What a legend. One of the best players ever imo. He's the definition of a classy player who doesn't run his mouth and was magical with the ball. A proper superstar who didn't necessarily have top speed or strength but was so good on the ball and just floated past everyone. Leaving Barca on a high before he turns **** and everyone remembers him growing too old. That's the correct way to leave a club
Well us not being in the CL (if we aint), would actually make him more likely to sign, since there would be zero chance of us coming up against Barca. (Unless they dropped down to the EL after the CL group stage, which is highly unlikely).
Best CM of recent era. Truly world class. Says a lot about a player when opposition fans applaud you off the pitch, too. Espanyol to this day still do after he dedicated his world cup winning goal to Dani Jarque and Sevilla fans applauded him off the pitch in the recent copa del rey final.
Xavi Hernandez: Paul Scholes is a role model. For me – and I really mean this – he's the best central midfielder I've seen in the last 15, 20 years. I've spoken to Xabi Alonso about him. He's spectacular, he has it all: the last pass, goals, he's strong, he doesn't lose the ball, vision. If he'd been Spanish he might have been rated more highly. Players love him.
The chav spackos can't take the praise Scholes gets cos they spent ten years gobbling off Fat Frank who never got a mention
Every legend under the sun says Scholes was a god, I don't think that's up for debate. Iniesta was a legend in his own rights though, let's not make this about Scholes.
