Couldn't even keep it interesting til the last day <grr>

I'm worried now, was relying on spurs beating the mags on the final day but the title will be all sewn up by then so they'll have nothing to play for... Can see Newcastle getting 7 from their last 3 games which means we will need 6... doable but god it's gonna be a rough few weeks!

Have you forgotten that they play Villa in the last game, Villa could begin a run of winning games that day:1980_boogie_down: I can see more Mag fans in Valla Park than the home crowd.

Nah they have spurs last, Villa the weekend before. I'd be buzzing if Villa do relegate them mind <laugh>

Me getting mixed up so make that their last away game, which also need a win leaving Villa to show what a good team they really could have been.

Even if they had won tonight they might well have been short come the last game the season anyway.

    Still in our hands remember.

I think they might want to finish above the Arsenal and will still be looking to end on a high.

I think they will get 7 points but I think we will get 6, not sure how but Everton and Stoke are doable. A win this weekend would really go a long way to calming the nerves.

Bit of a banana skin for them this week though. Could work either way. Palace must be on a right 'high' at the moment after their Wembley win. It could mean they run Newcastle off the park or it could mean they're shy about getting injured. Strange one to predict, this.

I think Palace will want to put any worries about going down to bed asap. Add that to the fact I still feel Pardew will wind his team up to stick it right up those geordies who made his life uncomfortable from the minute he walked into Sid James Park. I just doubt Palace will be beaten..Its a draw for me

I think a lot of Newcastle fans are assuming 6 points from the 2 games against Palace and Villa, and I wouldn't be too surprised if they dropped at least 2 points from those, or maybe more. Fingers crossed.

i think 6 points from their next 2 games and maybe a point against the spurs, if they trip up against Palace or Villa i wont laugh much.

You'll all need to be United fans on Sunday, if Leicester beat us then you can expect us to start thinking about resting players for the cup final, with Norwich still to play.

it works 2 ways as well, i am hoping its the way that players will be playing to stay in the team.
Hope you win anyway to keep the Champions league place alive.

The ifs, buts and maybes tied in with these last few games is mesmerising. ManC focused on tomorrow night but still need league wins, ManU could catch Arsenal with game in hand, Us, Mags and Norwich waiting for each other to crack but daft results cannot be discounted..

One of the best finishes to a season in many a long year.

Nah - taking nothing for granted, I certainly never underestimate just how rubbish we can be anyway. Remember Villa got a draw with us at SJP and were the better side by the end, and even now that we're supposed to have improved, we were still dreadful in the first half against Liverpool.

We haven't won away since November, we're hardly expecting it, even if it is against Villa.

The game I fear most is West Ham away, they're a tough opponent and we need to win all of our games to finish 4th. Leicester are beatable for us, I expect us to win the game, without sounding too arrogant, I know they're top of the league for a reason.

We have Stoke, Everton, Chelsea and Watford to play - none of which have anything to play for so, using the analogy above, we should be guaranteed 12 points... If only it was that easy eh?
