Hitchin Town boss Mark Burke hailed his ten-man side for their battling qualities after they salvaged a hard-fouoght 1-1 draw against Leatherhead at Top Field to keep their FA Cup dreams alive

 

Earlier today I encountered a minibus full of Dover Athletic fans on their way to Concord Rangers. They were stocking up on booze and pies from the BP garage on the A13.

Dover won 1-0 and are now in the hat for Monday's draw.

 

Two years running we reached the 2nd round knocking out league teams Hereford and one of the Bristols. Someone should make a movie.

 

The reason the facilities at the ground are so shabby and old is that the landlords “the Cow Commoners” will not allow any permanent structures to be built. A shame that the oldest football team in the world are not allowed to build the gigantic state of the art stadium befitting them.
