There's 20 minutes to go and we are losing. Whilst i can't claim that i expected us to lose i certainly expected us to play badly as we have every game so far this season, a stark reality check that not only are we a mid-table side but losing successive home games to mid-table sides is clearly relegation form.

We'll be fine, maybe not today but generally, but I'm baffled as to how we're struggling so badly to play well. Welcome back to being a Newcastle fan, last season was just some sort of dream!!

    Its very worrying.
It feels VERY VERY similar to the feeling I had when we went down.

    I am concerned!

I didnt think we could get any worse than last week. But we have.

Awful football, average players, tactically inadequate manager!

    ****!

What happened over the summer? Looks like the players have lost interest, Ba and Cisse are struggling to score, HBA thinks he can beat the world and the rest of the squad look distinctly average. Yet again we never looked like getting a goal and while Swansea didn't deserve to win, like West Ham last week, we can have no complaints with the loss.

I advised everyone we would not win this game and was again ridiculed and it really is staring to piss me off frankly.

Pardew has started the same **** he started at West Ham after his head ****ed off up his own arsehole!!!

People can say what they like but he had options and got it wrong once again today his sub involving Simpson was ridiculous again and again it didn't do anything but make it worse.

I mean despite injuries and suspensions this team concedes more goals so why not get Ba Ben Arfa and even Obertan up tops , anything but try something different!!! Sammy is not ready, Shola is **** and always has been and Ferguson is not ready at all.

It's also due to the owner etc not doing anything in the summer and this is our future - getting beat not finishing top 6 I'm afraid.
    Well ****ed off

we will lose at Southampton and then sell Ben Arfa to Arsenal when walcott leaves.

Bad result for you boys but look at the silver lining.

If Sunderland lose by nine or more we're in the bottom three tomorrow.

I agree with you, except the part where Shola is ****.
Sammy and Fergie aren't ready, and Pardew should never have started them

Watched the match and we were constantly out passed, kept up the hoof ball too often and Krul's kicking is atrocious. What do we practice in training because I see no evidence of it on the pitch.
As for Pardew saying Euro games are tiring and costing us, he knew the score at the start of the season yet didn't increase the squad so what did he expect. I fully expect us to struggle for the forseeable future unless we get top class signings in the January transfer window.

We are a truly wretched team to watch/support this season. The early season 'form' was down to luck, and now that has run-out, the bad performances are being punished. If anyone thought the win over West Brom was deserved, it can only be looked back on as a jammy bit of luck. To be honest, I was probably more pissed off after the win against West Brom - obviously, not because we won, but because we we're downright awful for the whole 90 minutes.

I'm more annoyed than pissed off after this latest showing - annoyed, because it was so painfully predictable.

With each passing game of this season, it's starting to seem more and more like last season was more luck than judgement. No doubt, Pardew kept the good spirit and momentum going. Now that there clearly is no momentum or spirit within the squad, he is left looking wanting in just about every facet of Football Management.

I don't think he should go right away - but I do think that unless he can turn things around before this season falls apart all together, he may be forced out. Which would cost Fat Mike a pretty penny, but it may be the only option left.

By no means is this a knee jerk reaction. It's an honest assessment of where our teams been going so far this season - and that is drastically downhill.

With any luck, Pardew will work his way out of this mess, by getting back to basics - such as getting Krul to practice clearances/kicking, the whole team working on crosses and set-pieces (as we have to be the leagues worst at this) and setting short term points targets.

I really do fear for the future short term. Our next 8 PL matches could possibly see us getting only 3 to 6 points at max
Southampton A Good win this week will see them gee'd up against us.
Stoke A Always a difficult place to go
Wigan H Which Wigan team will turn up?
Fulham A They play well at home
Man. C H Way too good for us
QPR H Should win this one for definite.
    Man, U A No chance
    Arsenal A No chance.

If I'm right, and I hope I'm not I predict bottom 4 for Xmas.

I hope you're right, but I can't see it happening. We've been terrible all season, and a lot of the things which are making us poor this season were present last season, we just had a lot of other qualities to make up for it. If he had the ability to put the team right then I think he would've done it by now.

You're the first poster of either side to say that. No offence but that's bollocks.
