Great credit goes to the usual suspects like ElPistoleroJFT96, MilanKakaBaros and RedNigerian, all who are somewhere out there in cyberspace making great videos of every transfer target and our own players. Here's some from the first friendly of the season if, like me, you need more to feed your habit! Alberto Aquilani. What a classy player, glides around the pitch. With our 3 man centre midfield it allows him to play further forward than he did last season for Juventus and i'd love him to stay with us this year. We've paid for him, let's give him a crack, his value is probably as low as it's going to get right now so why not try and get our money's worth. Charlie Adam. Settled into his deep lying playmaker role very easily. Hit some great passes, and like Aquilani, with a bit more sharpness more of those passes would have come off. Even his 'hollywood' passes were all close to finding their man and at least played into dangerous areas which is what we want. Notice he wasn't launching it at Carroll's head route one style, he was launching it into dangerous areas when he had a runner- big difference. Jack Robinson. This clip shows you his speed and commitment. How long is it since we had someone come through our youth set-up with pace? A fullback with pace is a highly valued thing. Aly Cissokho who we've been linked with, if you were to slow him down his value would probably be halved from £12mil (rough figure that's been bandied about) to £6mil. Add the fact that Jack is English and his obviously huge potential, and if we were to try and buy him in 2 years time (19 years old) we'd be looking at approaching £10mil i think. Aquilani looked very good considering it was the first game on tour. It's clear to see the quality he posseses. I think a midfield trio of him, Lucas and Adam would dominate possession - they all enjoy receiving the ball and playing it simple and Adam and Aquilani have the ability to play the final ball as well. Adam looked a little rusty which is expected. Really impressed with Robbo - threw himself into challenges and is very quick. Definately one for the future.
