I really don't know what to say about that game. The first half we were the worst I've seen in ages; Cardiff defended well but only had two chances really and we gifted both to them; Cardiff were a long ball team tbh. At 2 - 0 down at half-time having only threatened to threaten in little spells it didn't look much like we were going to get anything from the game. Adams must have quite rightly put a rocket up in the players in the dressing room whilst there is no doubt Cardiff were complacent. The second half we came out breathing fire and by the time Cardiff, who were utterly shell-shocked, realised what what was happening it was far too late. All first half Jones bullied our defence in the extreme, I swear he won every header. The turning point was early in the second half; it seemed to be much the same pattern of play in the first half but John Ruddy made a worldie save. From then on we never looked back; we completely overran Cardiff who just capitulated. For the last 40 mins of the game it was one way traffic and once Olsson got the first you could just feel we would complete the comeback. Of course we were much improved in the second half and Cardiff didn't turn up but nobody needs me to tell them who the difference was; Jerome! Having someone to hold up the ball in the middle (which Grabban is not capable of) much as Jones did in the first half was just what we needed. Our midfield was able to establish total supremacy from then on. That is by far the best performance I have seen from a Norwich forward in some time! So now Adams is starting to create a real expectancy (quite rightly too given the squad at his disposal) and we have yet to even see Vadis, Hooper and Howson this season. The second half should not gloss over what was an abysmal first half but what a game and bring on Tuesday! OTBC
I didn't see any of the game but my head was in hands on 45 minutes, and expecting the very worst from the day. I even said to the missus that we would lose today when CC got their second. Never mind a week in football making a difference, try 45 minutes - totally buzzin again tonight. Just wish I could see the bloody games
