So Ince is quoted as saying that he'd still be interested in a move to Swansea. Unfortunately for him, having seen him and Nathan Redmond in the U21 match, Redmond is the only winger that I'd like to see in a Swans shirt.

Ex Liverpool starlet Tom Ince admits he would be interested in Swansea City move

Former Liverpool starlet Tom Ince admits he would be open to a Liberty Stadium switch if Swansea City decide to renew their interest.

Ince has insisted he would welcome Swansea’s interest as he seeks a summer move – despite snubbing the chance of a loan move four months ago.

But Ince, who is now a free agent after the end of his Crystal Palace loan stay, insists he would relish the chance of joining up with fellow fliers Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge as Swansea look to push on next year under Monk.

'The Europa League campaign WAS exhausting' Swansea City star Nathan Dyer admits now the Premier League season is over

It is not clear whether Swansea would renew their interest in Ince, who also turned down the chance to join Cardiff last summer despite the clubs agreeing a £7m fee.

And Ince says he is in the dark as to whether he is on Monk’s wanted list as the rookie boss steps up his summer transfer plans.

But the former Liverpool scholar insists he would be open to the chance to join Swansea, a club he claims is “fantastic” and that would be an option.

Inter Milan are among those believed to be keen on the wideman, and asked whether Swansea are also in the running, Ince said: “You would have to ask the Swansea chairman. If they are it would be an option because Swansea’s a fantastic club.

“I didn’t get the best of receptions here (in the 3-1 win against Wales Under-21s) and I didn’t get a good one when I came back with Crystal Palace. “But it’s a fantastic club which play fantastic football and Swansea has always been an interest for me ever since the transfer window has come about.

“If Swansea are interested then definitely (it is an option). It’s a fantastic club which is going places.”

It is not clear whether they will return for another attempt to land Ince after they failed to tempt him to South Wales midway through last season.

Would have liked him here previously but my eyes have been opened by they way he's handled himself over the past year or so. He's also since shown that at this level he's not as good as he or his rather loopy Dad thinks he is.

    Pass.

i think the chant of 'Daddies Boy@ was quite right. I have no doubt that his father was behind his move to palace. What little I have seen of him since his move he has looked at best average. I agree with BK Redmond looked a far better player than him in the under 21 game.

Maybe he is starting to grovel a bit as no clubs are flocking to sign him and is hoping we are still interested.

Would I take him. Well if we signed him I would want him to do well as I do all our players. But, I wouldnt be to excited by it.

Does he know any other words than "fantastic" ?...<laugh>

Both good players and both snubbed us in favor of other clubs so not quite sure why Tom gets stick and Redmond doesn't .

I actually the two of them lack a good touch under pressure but nothing that can't be worked on, I'd be happy with either though I suspect nice may come with a bit of baggage. If they are interested in improvement then Swansea is a no brainer of a move, if they are interested in money then I suspect we arnt the club for them.

I think either one could offer us something ;)

    Not for me.

With an offer reported from Inter Milan and Newcastle, Palace, Liverpool and Everton supposedly after him it looks like another of his (daddy's) plays to drum up interest .. Cardiff, Swansea now Swansea again

I watched the under 21s and if there was a platform to shine it was then (as Redmond did). While he was on fire for a while the season before last his goal rate has dropped, possibly because of being unsettled or not able to make the step up.

Slightly of theme (but I read it in the post when looking at the Ince story)
'"Michu has definitely not been put up for sale by anyone at this club — not me, the chairman or anyone," said the Swansea manager.'

DOes that imply the chairman puts players up for sale independently of the manager?

He's just being thorough in his quashing of the rumour. Not that you can believe anything that comes out of any football club these days.

Ince is a very good player indeed if he wanted to come to Swansea and a deal could be done then great he'd be a valued addition to the squad.

Who'd honestly want to go and play in Russia though - however Russia does seem to have a racism problem - which should make any Spanish player feel at home.

Would be very reluctant in signing Ince, after the snub in January.

I don't mind at all if Ince comes to us, as long as he is 100% committed to the club. I think he would shine in our system. I would choose Redmond tho if we had the opportunity.

I'd actually prefer Marc Albrighton to Ince, anyone else think we may have missed a bargain there now it looks like he'll be signing for Leicester? Every time ive seen him play he's looked quality though maybe I'm missing something seeing as Lambert was prepared to let him go on a free?
