Exactly. But somehow he gets more understanding. I'm not anti Nick at all btw, just anti biased fans who have one rule for one and one for another. Both managers should have had more time and patience.
Seriously???? Are you mental? We're playing much more attractive football than when Pearson N was in charge and we've managed to maintain a very good defensive record. How can you compare the two? I honestly think some of you lot are never happy unless you're moaning. And when you're not moaning, you're moaning that you've got nothing to moan about! Get a grip!
Selective memory. We played great football this season undere Nigel, people only seem to remember the first 6 months of last season. And I really dont see how I could be any clearer that I'm not moaning about the team, I'm moaning about the fans.
Agree with you DoggyBrown. The football we've played under Nick has been much more exciting to watch, it's just been tainted recently by the lack of goals. In the weeks before Christmas we were up to fourth and playing decent football, the difference been in those games we were taking our chances. The good football by and large has continued, we've created bags of chances in recent games, just not had the ability to put them away! If we had put said chances away we'd be sitting pretty in the top 6. If Nick can be criticised over anything it's not showing the will to bring reinforcements in up front, not the style of football.
SPOT ON. they should all be ashamed of themselves... FFS!!!!!!!! we just knicked what might be an important point BE HAPPY... I can't believe most of you are grumbling about our scoring ability and that we didn't deserve it... do you think other teams are like that? **** ME Always bloody ****ing moaning about summit. Would you have preferred a well deserved 4-0 spanking??? would that have shut you up?
Beagrie was just asked if he saw us as play-off contenders and he said "They've got to be! I think they are a little bit light weight in terms of squad, players..."
Maybe it's because Pearson came as a 'proven' manager with high expectations yet proved to be a boring ****er off the pitch and with his teams on it yet Barmby is a Hull City legend who's finding his feet as a manager but has got us playing attractive football that at the moment is just lacking an end product. To say they're the same is ****ing stupid in my opinion and the fans are therefore perfectly entitled to favour one over the other.
Agreed. Was DELIGHTED when Matty got the goal. This has made me extremely confident about Tuesday nights because I'd say Leeds are not as good as team as Blackpool! 1-0 win against Leeds on Tuesday... and still people would bloody complain
I agree with this. People decided that NB was more attacking before a ball was even kicked under him. Taking chances has been a massive problem but the thing annoying me lately is we don't seem to be trying to score more, we're getting less and less players forward with every game and at times there is a chance to score and it's as if we've been briefed not to: when the keeper dropped the ball at Koren's feet he just had to bang it goalward. Instead he tried to go on a run with it, it was literally as if he preferred leaving it at 0-0. Then seconds later they score...
Maybe just maybe saw enough of Josh King tonight to see someone capable of geeting around the oppos fullback and create something for the likes of Matty Fryatt to tuck away - he is having to feed on scraps. Cam Stewart was absolute pants tonight and his decision making at the moment and lack of closing down is truly awful. After being injured for the best part of a year he needs the season to end now.
That's just ridiculous. What tonight's draw does is provide a good result that masks a poor performance for the majority of the game. Failure to address the causes of that would mean we're relying on luck and/or opponents being inferior to Blackpool to get us results for the rest of the season. Whilst I'd rather be lucky than good, I'd rather not be relying on being lucky, something which is out of our control, and would like to see some sign of us addressing the failings in the team/squad as well so that we don't have poor performances.
Did Cameron Stewart give the ball away tonight? He was far better than he ahs being and less wasteful, he got to the byline and got balls in when he was given the ball, the midfield didn't keep hold of it well enough or rotate it well enough to get out wide, don't remember that being in a wingers job description. Nicky is a more attacking manager just because you score the same amount doesn't mean there both the same, we are still making far more chances, just where not taking them.
A point before the game would probably have been attractive to most. A point in the context of the game itself most definitely is. On we go.
