The season as seen by the man himself. Worth a listen

 

Interesting and enjoyable.

 

Sure was. Without cliché. He's a breath of fresh air.

 

I have said that Joes Mourinho deserves the manager of the season award, because I felt his achievement has been under valued. I believe he built the team that is now so much better than the rest and tactically us been superb.

Having watched 23 minutes of that interview with Ron, it has reminded me just how decent a man he is. All those times this season when things haven't gone our way and we felt an injustice, he never made excuses. He just said, "That is football." For all my admiration of Mourinho, he'd never say that. Ron is twice the person Jose is and an absolute breath of fresh air ( as TSS said, without cliche). He has so much humility it is untrue and for me, too many people in every day life lack humility. If his demeanour (and I am sure it is) was like this when he met other managers, then there is no doubt in my mind how big an impression he'd have made on those other managers. The Premier a league should show his interviews as a blue print for other managers (take note Brenda).

I'm changing my vote: Ronald Koeman should be manager of the season for his whole package. Great performance, great personality, as gracious in defeat as in victory and behaves how all managers should.

We're in so much better position then Liverpool and Tottenham. They would never understand or accept this claim, but we are. Contrary to them, we are a club on the rise, with a class act for manager.

I have huge respect for Ronald. He doesn't moan....the only time he got upset was when he refused to shake a manager's hand because he thought their coaching staff had shown disrespect to officials. He knows we have done better than even he thought and he accepts injuries to players as just another thing we have to deal with. He could have cursed the loss of Forster, but he has never made a public thing of it.

Nice interview, with football interviews I always find myself analysing answers in a way I wouldn't normally do.

One cause for optimisim from my sentence disection was Ron referring to Graziano, Dusan and Toby in the same breath when he came to benefitting from the experience of a first PL season and how that will benefit them next season.

He certainly talks a lot of sense........There is no bullshit with this man is there? It came over that he was enjoying himself here and was complimentary towards the fans and the players.
