According to reports Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill is targeting two of Blackburn Roversâ top players. Reports have suggested the Black Cats are in pursuit of Steven N'Zonzi and Martin Olsson. The manager refused to comment on individual targets but confirmed Sunderland are waiting to hear back from clubs after making several offers. He told the Sunderland Echo: "I can't obviously mention particular players, but we're definitely in the market to try to improve the squad. "It's pretty obvious where we're looking to try to strengthen and of course we're going to be linked with a lot of players. "It's not right to publicise what we're doing at this minute. "But we have made a number of bids for a number of players and we're still waiting to hear back." Read more at http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...lackburn-rovers-aces.html#4Hd0fdETiEZBViri.99
would be good signings IMO and I think we could get both for around 7-8m which would be good business IMO
If thats the case I would take Olsson and not bother about N'Zonzi, personally think for 6-7m we could get someone technically better who would add abit of creativity into the middle of the park from across Europe, some canny young players in the French and German leagues
I agree with you mate. A lot cheaper than paying 'British' prices, but O'Neil has a history of shopping at home and doesn't tend to look abroad usually. If we do get N'Zonzi, then I would get rid of either Gardner or Vaughan. Not bothered which one.
Rather we got shot of Vaughan tbh, very good player but too lightweight imo, probably better suited on a subbuteo table
