IN RESERVE: BUZSAKY STARTS Posted on: Tue 29 Nov 2011 Akos Buzsaky and Jason Puncheon will both start for the Reserves this afternoon as they host Charlton Athletic in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Harlington. The Hungarian international, who came on for the last 12 minutes of Saturday's Premier League encounter at Norwich, will feature in the centre of midfield alongside Petter Vaagan Moen, with Bruno Andrade and Puncheon on the flanks. Meanwhile, Danny ****tu and Bruno Perone are expected to start at the heart of the defence with youngsters Michael Harriman and Taylor Parmenter at left back and right back respectively. Troy Hewitt will be joined in attack by a trialist, while youngster Aaron Lennox - who signed a one-year contract with the R's in the summer after arriving from the Australian Institute of Sport - is in goal. iReader
I don't think he offers enough to play in a 4-4-2 but is probably our best option when Barton and particularly Faurlin are out. I'd like to think that we'll get someone in in January and it'll be a case of thanks for the memories.
IN RESERVE: R'S LOSE 3-0 Posted on: Tue 29 Nov 2011 QPR Reserves lost 3-0 to Charlton this afternoon, conceding all three goals in the final ten minutes of an entertaining affair at Harlington. Marc Bircham took charge of the second-string, and was pleased with the effort shown, telling www.qpr.co.uk: "We played well in the first half and should have been two or three up. Their keeper pulled off a couple of really good saves. "It was disappointing to concede like we did late on, especially with two of the goals where the marking could have been better. Article continues Advertisement "But it was a pleasing work-out. Danny ****tu and Jason Puncheon got an hour under their belts, and Akos Buzsaky played for 70 minutes. "Akos looked sharp and played the game at match tempo. That's the whole point of these fixtures, they are put on for players to get match sharpness. "There would be no point playing in them if you're not going to put it in. Akos really put it in and that will benefit him. "And I was pleased with how Troy Hewitt did up top. He played the full game, looked lively and went close on three occasions, forcing the keeper into two saves." Bircham, the Club's Assistant Youth Development Manager, was also happy with the impact the likes of Michael Harriman and Taylor Parmenter had, but reserved special praise for Bruno Andrade, adding: "He looked nice and sharp, and hopefully he is one for the future."
QPR get Carter by Setanta Staff , 30 November 2011 QPR: Defender linked with Hoops switch QPR have taken Dulwich youngster Terence Carter on trail at Loftus Road with a view to handing him a professional deal. Whilst Neil Warnock will be handed a transfer chest to spend in the January transfer window on established stars, the club's scouts continue to monitor local youngsters and Carter has been given a trial. QPR were not alone in looking at the youngster as Carter has been part of Dulwich's youth academy for the past two years and is a key fixture in their FA Youth Cup team which has brought the scouts flocking to Champion Hill to watch him. Dulwich boss Gavin Rose said: "Terence has shown a lot of promise and we wish him all the best with his trial. "We're still not sure what his best position will eventually be - he can play at left-back, left midfield and as a centre forward. "The trial at QPR is a good opportunity."
