IN RESERVE: R'S HELD BY SPURS

QPR Reserves were held to a 2-2 draw by London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Clubs Harlington training ground.

Rangers named a number of Youth Team players amongst their side, as well as experienced pros, such as Brain Murphy, Petter Vaagan Moen and Jason Puncheon.

The visitors fielded a number of familiar looking Europa League faces in their squad, including Jake Livermore and Ryan Fredericks.

Striker Rob Hulse put the R's ahead, after just four minutes, when a Rangers corner met the head of the 31 year-old inside the Spurs six-yard box.

However, Soley Mane Coulibaly soon levelled the match, with a similar finish for Spurs, which was then followed by an eccentric 'Nani-style' celebration.

The visitors then took the lead minutes before half-time, as Juventus loanee Yago Falque finished off a neat Spurs counter attack.

Jason Puncheon's determined run down the left-flank on 75 minutes was squared to Rowan Vine, who was impeded inside the Tottenham penalty area, gifting the R's a chance to equalise from the spot, which they didn't disappoint.

Well then, judging from that it looks like Hulse and Vine are the answers to our goal scoring problems.... Errrrrr.

Stange it doesn't say who scored penalty -perhaps it was a Rob Hulse double

    Inman features in QPR game

Hampton & Richmond defender Dean Inman played for QPR’s reserves in a match against Tottenham on Tuesday afternoon.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with Rob Hulse scoring for Rangers along with youngster Bruno Andrade, who netted from the penalty spot.

Hulse was making his return to action after a knee injury and is attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs keen to take him on loan.

Inman, 21, was invited for a trial after impressing during a pre-season friendly against the R’s, but an ankle injury meant he had to wait several weeks for his opportunity.

He played at centre-back for the first half of the game before switching to right-back for the second.

Hampton & Richmond Borough defender Dean Inman will have to wait for his trial at QPR because of an ankle injury.

Inman, 20, has been watched by a number of clubs and impressed during a pre-season friendly against the R’s, who invited him to spend a week training with them.

But he has been sidelined since and is still two week away from being fit to play.

“Obviously he needs to get himself fit again,” Borough boss Mark Harper told West London Sport.

“He needs to get a couple of games under his belt and then QPR will hopefully get in touch and take him for a trial, which they’ve guaranteed the lad.”

Harper expects Inman to stay with the Beavers for “the foreseeable future” but also insists that if the player leaves he will go with the club’s blessing.

“We’ll never stop in the kid’s way. If the opportunity is there for him it will only benefit him as a player and benefit the club,” he said.

Inman signed a new one-year contract in June and in his three seasons has made over 70 appearances for Borough.

Think it should probably have read:

"Striker Rob Hulse put the R's ahead, after just four minutes, when a Rangers corner hit the back of the head of the 31 year-old who was sitting down inside the Spurs six-yard box massaging his hamstring."

Anyway, well done Rob. Onwards and upwards...
