Well it seems we cant go a season without replacing a manager. 2 wins in 17 games, What "good" manager would allow this. the answer is no good manager would. We all wanted him to do well and we excepted to do well but what we want and what we get are 2 different things. McInnes IMO has to go and a new manager has to take over with the whole of the januray transfer window to work with. Theres no point in letting McInnes waste money and wages as the players he brings in except davies, baldock and heaton, are all questionable. Danny Wilson? why the hell have we brought him in on loan when you play FONTAINE! possibly the worst defender at the club this season over him. Can't be bothered to moan/rant about the situation anymore as it really gets me/us nowhere but just want to see with the poll above what the majority of us want. For me I want him out, The sooner the better he can't turn it around, if he could he would of done in 10-12 games ago. Pack your bags and go back to Scotland del boy
Lovely bottoms though they are shiny I think they are totally out of order considering where we are in the division (lol).
Quite simple guys as shiny say the results say it all,any fan wanting Del to stay in the hot seat wants To see BCFC slowly strangled until we return to league 1. If SL wants this then in my opinion he needs to call it a day. Forget the Fancy stadiums dreams, priority football wise is a top manager employed, and get The fans back on side and get AG rocking again. Yesterday it was like being at a funeral,so so sad to see our beloved club in pieces.
' Quite simple guys as shiny say the results say it all,any fan wanting Del to stay in the hot seat wants To see BCFC slowly strangled until we return to league 1.' What a rediculous thing to say,so anybody with a different opinion want's to slowly strangle Bristol City and see them relegated.... and as for.....If SL wants this then in my opinion he needs to call it a day. why don't you put up a poll and ask the fans that one Should Steve Lansdown Call it a Day...?..... CRAZY...
He has to go, waay out of his depth, why he keeps playing the worst defender in the clubs history is beyond me.. Please go before it's too late.
Wiz I stick by that statement, the owner has made one cock up after another regards managers,I say sort it or get out.the blame starts at the top in my opinion.
I'm a massive fan of what SL has tried to do for our beloved club and I hope he continues to have the passion...But at the end of the day at some point, if we continue to fail, he will lose interest... Steve, I hope will learn form the past few years and realise you can not build a football club by opting to go the cheap way. progress is everything, otherwise it will always be a struggle and go nowhere. If your serious about the club, you need to get that cheque book out and make the right purchase for a decent manager.... As it is, IT WILL NOT GET BETTER....it needs to be done NOW so the new manager has at least some chance of saving us..There needs to be NO More pissing about.
With SL bankrolling us to the tune of 11 million a year. I fear for the future if he pulls out. We will probably end up like Porstmouth without their fantastic support.
ROD city is bigger than any ndividual and I mean any. City will be here long after SL,you and me are no longer,we have to admit he has made mistake after mistake with his football managers. As said I wonder why Sextoy really left.
Ok currently DM is performing worse than Keef, who I reckon is probably a bit miffed at where City are currently.....we will ever know if we would be better or worse off had he stayed......change manager now? its getting close ! but I think a run without a defeat of about 8 games will come shortly...then we will all be singing praises for the team and club.........
You are having a laugh arn't you?!! What everythings ok in theoy is it?? Have you noticed where we are in the league? did you notice we were 4-0 down in the first half against a struggling Wolves team? Yep everything is just great mate! My bloody head hurts..
It's plain stupid to wait when it's too late. In my book, Keef was out of his depth and am sure eggs are eggs we would have gone down last season. Del is also way out of his depth and again we keep him and we can say goodbye to the championship for another load of years...
I think he will have to go, if results stay the same, but if the question is NOW, then I too have voted to keep. I cannot see a better manager available. However if one comes up then I think we have to make the move. But Out now makes no sense. Sell your house without a better house to move too - plain daft.
I did say that if the board had any brains they should have done a bit of homework a few weeks ago regarding replacements in preperation for the freefall.....I didn't believe for a second that we would come out of this dreadful situation we're in..
Thought about it long and hard but have voted for DM to stay - however another gutless performance by the team and that would be it Talk of SL going is MADNESS. Without his investment where would we be????
I have voted for him to stay. But with great reservations. Firstly I remember well that had City board dumped AD in his first couple of years when we nearly went down both seasons, we would never have had promotion to the First. Secondly my vote is on condition that DMc does the following; Play with two strikers at home Start with his signings such as Davies, Anderson, Baldock, Danny Wilson, Greg Cunningham when fit, Foster and leave out Fontaine, Elliott, Kilkenny. They are yesterday's men at City repeatedly making the same mistakes. I have no opinion one way or the other about the rest of the squad in tems of who should play because it's the manager and his coaches who see them in training. I support DMc when he picks Joe Bryan and maybe he should have the courage to pick Bobbie Reid and get Joe Edwards back from Yeovil to play in front of the back four. I would also dearly like to see James Wilson given a decent run. If he feels unable to play 4-4-2 away from home, then why not use Carey as sweeper behind a back four in a 1-4-3-1-1 formation. It's fluid and should also help us to attack teams away from home. I don't want to got through the "change a manager" routine but he needs to adapt his approach otherwise we're going down. And having seen MK Dons this pm on TV, we'd struggle to hold our own in League One. I do not want to see any local derby's unless the Gas come up to join us!
I'm still voting in for now. We've had bad luck with injuries and even replacements getting injured. We've also lost out on some good players (cb and midfield) pre-season because of wages/cost so its obviously ****ed up what Del was trying to achieve. Any manager would have had the same problems (restrictions on wages and therefore buying ability was obviously one of the reasons why Copout ****ed off). If we payoff Del AND get an even more expensive manager in (as many of you seem to want) that's even less money available to try and bring some quality in. And while I believe Del has brought some good players in we still have a number of players who are very average. I expect Fonts is being kept in the side for some experience to help Bryan and keep at least some consistency at the back. He maybe mentoring Bryan to help his development. He's probably also kept in as he's captain (albeit a bad one). Still, while many fans used to rave about Fonts not so long ago, I've always thought he was **** and hope to god Del tries Wilson iii or A N Other next Saturday. Maybe give Davies or Albert the captains armband....or bring Rob Newman back!!
Ps I also think they should temporarily bring in another coach who can give them a few more ideas and give them a big kick up the arse. Maybe fitness is their problem as some of them can seem to run their arses off for 90 minutes.
