I reckon we missed a trick in not signing Charlie Austin
4 million is a snip - and its obvious that kramaric will be leaving

 

..personally I don't..think he's a good player ..but time out injured disrupts a team and one of the prime reasons behind our success for me is most key players have stayed available..

 

Not alot of money i'll admit, but it's not about how much they cost, it's about whether they fit into what's being built.
I'm thinking LCFC have a Plan & it was never thought that he would be a part of it since CR's come in, hence no bid.

 

Agree about the need for a tight knit squad and personalities that get on but I too wish we had gone in for him. He always appears to have goals in him. Gets a dozen between now and the end of the season and he will take Vardys place in the euros unless he starts banging them in again.

 

Dunno I think we have dodged a bullet... He's always injured ala Caroll & Zamora .

Yes he is injury prone, but not scoring prone - has a good record this season even though it has been stop start for him.

We missed a trick here but hopefully because Walsh and the rest have found another hidden gem.

 

Buying price was cheap, but that usually means he will be on a huge wage, and I don't fancy paying fistfuls of cash to someone only playing half a season if you're lucky ... not good for dressing room morale.

 

I recon he could have fitted in well with the squad, seems to come across with a similar same kind of attitude to Vardy, just happy to be playing.

I think this will be similar to the Trippier deal, he'll be used more as a replacement but would have had more of a chance of regular first team football with us.

 

.. or possibly that nobody was interested in paying more because of injury concerns ... he is still recovering from his latest 'hammy;' ...

 

If he's not scoring prone then no wonder we stayed away

 

So we were interested. We put in a bid also last Friday but Austin chose them over us as he was guaranteed to start and his house is down that way

 

Rumoured to be on 100k a week. I'd wager that that swung it more.

 

Wow, even less of a bargain then if true.
