Just look at our current plight and tell me truthfully that you still think Derek will turn things around. If you are still one of the few that think he is the man then I urge you to look at his record considering that he has increased our salary bill without improving results. By my way of thinking the experiment, if that's what it is, has failed so badly that it makes me wonder if we will ever get anyone in charge who actually know what they are doing. Under the current situation I don't think that we can expect anything different than what we are seeing and the drop is a distinct possibilty. I think Derek McInnes needs to go now and just hope there is someone out there who has the balls to tell our lacklustre players than unless they can at least put in some effort they will soon be playing elsewhere. They probably won't care but someone needs to read the riot act afterDerek exits stage left. It's time to ring the changes, you know it makes sense and please don't make anymore excuses we're tired of them.
When is it going to sink in with some. I repeatedly tell my cat that he should be more like Messi but he can't because he's a cat AND HE IS NOT CAPABLE OF DOING ANY BETTER...! Tell you what, lets break the bank and bring in Sir Alec. Let him shout at the players and tell them they should be doing better. Will it make a difference..? Like **** will it... The players put a shift in today, anyone who says otherwise is blind. Now you know that there is money available for the January window, we all know who the weak links are and I am no longer retiscent to name them in Fontaine and Marv, the latter who is no longer "super" (which seems to have co-incided with shaving his head, he's lost his powers). These 2 have to go and with decent replacements, we have the makings of a half decent team...
I've been screaming this for 5 years now. CHANGE THE CENTRE OF OUR DEFENCE !!! Do you think someone heard me ?
Its simple really.............DEL IS STAYING FOR A WHILE YET!........that has been made public enough recently from all sides. He has been told he will have money to spend in Jan and he knows what he needs....he said as much on the radio post-match. He will get a defender or two and a midfielder, and ship out a few of the current team.
Elliot and Fontaine by far the worse players on the pitch today.. You didn't need to be a football expert to see that. (Well most of us anyway.)
So, we "wasted" money on the following:- Heaton Cunningham Davies Baldock then did we..? All of whom are a CONSIDERABLE improvement on what we had before - do me a favour You can argue about Pearson and Foster but they are certainly no worse than what we had and we haven't seen much of Anderson yet but that doesn't mean that the money was WASTED. Did it ever cross anyone's mind that perhaps this is forward planning for when Albert goes...? Wilson and Bates are only on short term contracts and Morris is an enigma but I think that 1 is allowed Mike, you really ought to give it a bit more thought when you make comments like that...
If you listened to his aftermatch speech he was not defending anybody. When the interviewer said their goal came from a quick free kick his words was they had 30 seconds to get into position so they had the time it was nothing to do with a quick freekick it was their positioning. He also said he has tried various combinations in defence and midfield and it is just not working. That tells me that he is at the end of his tether with the players he has. Hence this is why he has said there will be a lot of changes. Remember that Blackburn have been calling out for a new manager for ages. They are now only 11 points above us at the moment with all their stars. Yet when Keane went they were in the playoffs at least. I know some will say they went the cheap option with Berg but in fairness I can't see a queue of managers that would be banging on our door if we were to hoof McInnes out. And before someone blabs on saying we will have to get someone doing well at their job at the moment. Get a grip who the **** would leave their secure position to come to the massive fallen giant's that we are. Millwall looked out of their depth last year. Now where are they? I'm not defending the management or the team. As I see it something is rotten in the club and it has been there for a while now. I think the board have always been fine spending the money on forwards but struggle with the defence and that goes back to the Johnson era and NO Im not blaming Johnson. For the past two seasons under Millen and McInnes the defence has been sorted out by two loanees, Caulker and Bikey so by luck we found some club willing to bail us out because our own players aren't up to the task!!
Sorry but I find it galling to hear DEL moaning on about the players when he picks the team every week and there are enough in his squad signed by HIM to make up the side. He picks Fontaine and Marv week-in-week-out. If they are not up to it in his opinion then why the **** is he picking them? If it is because the players signed by him are no better then what does that tell you? I have severe doubts about his ability to set the team up in an organised way and motivate the players or explain to them what their roles are supposed to be. Yes he will be here in Jan and will make changes to the squad but does he have the basic nous to put together and motivate a team that can get us up the table? I have severe doubts myself.
