I don't know if anyone's mentioned this previously, but I noticed it whilst watching the Football Focus feature on Pochettino. Thought it was worth a mention...

Yep, mentioned it before. Very nice touch from Cortese to recognise someone who was so vital to the club.

Still remember seeing him at Wembley, he looked just as chuffed as any Saints fan.

Cortese and Liebherr used to sit in the front together, alone.

Now that Markus isn't there, Cortese keeps the tradition up. Usually why you can see Les Reed sat over his shoulder at home games!

Yep said before a few times. Great touch and shows Cortese never really sits alone.

And it proves he isn't the total hard-bitten businessman that many like to portray him as. Only when it matters.

http://postimg.org/image/cgz1fxa9p/, it's such a nice gesture from presumably cortese. If we move to a new stadium I hope the tradition continues but it won't be the same I feel.

If we moved to a new stadium (and I'm not sure how likely that really is) I imagine at least some part of it would be named after him.

Much as I agree with you that we should honour Markus in that way, I don't think his family want that kind of large-scale memorial to him.

Great touch by Cortese, I personally could think of not better person to be leading the saints. Rupert Lowe is put to shame by any comparison to Cortese
