David Stockdale said in an interview âEverybody starts off the season with high expectations but weâre just going to take it one step at a time and Iâm gathering from the gaffer with what he says to me that he is going to win the thing. Speaking to Drive Time, he said: âYouâve got to aim to win the title. If you donât aim big thereâs no point in being in that league is there. Sounds good to me........................
The more I think about it, I can see us being this seasons' QPR. but that said it's getting near to kick off and everyone's hopes and expectations are going to be elevated.
I think it shows that PJ wants to challenge this year and believes that we can although publicly he has said that there is still a lot to do i think he is just trying to take the pressure off his players..
I dare not even think about a top six place, let alone promotion. My expecations will remain at a fairly low level in the hope that they are far exceeded. Too many seasons of expecting to do well and failing miserably. Bit of reverse psychology this season.
This is exactly the sort of talk that Roy Keane extinguished well and truly from all our vocabulary. One thing is for certain - if you don't believe you can then you are definitely NOT going to win the title.
Hopefully Hamps, the players and management have that belief - goes without saying that what we think doesn't matter. The only contribution we can make is by giving the guys 100% backing in every match!
pj has spent the summer bringing in experienced players who know how to and expect to win. We as supporters should now expect to win every game. Its the way forward, all the negativity that goes around sometimes does my crust in. Come on you blue boys.
Coupled with not flouncing if we have a dodgy result or get off to a slow start. Lots of new players, lots of new enthusiasm so hopefully lots of noise and support from us. Ban negativity, play-offs here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i might start up a group of cheer leaders for half time, anybody interested? ( speedos optional ofcourse )
