What side would you start today to get a result today against a Dai Jones outfit that are going to battle. In all honesty, I thought they were unlucky not to take a point at least off us at the CCS.

Do we put 5 men in midfield and just leave Fraizer on his own? Play narrow, crowd the centre of the park to allow Tayls and McNuggs to overlap and be our wide men?

That will need some mobility from the midfield to switch wide and get up there to support Fraizer when the breaks are on.

Got to be Bellers in that role for me, with Whitts, Kimbo, Gunnar and hopefully a fit Mutch available to add some drive. I know that looks a very narrow approach starting without our recognised wingers in Noone and Conway, but we need to change it around. With those two on the bench, it would still give us the option to go wide later.

An alternative after his cameos this last couple of games would be to start Rudy alongside Fraizer to go for the classic 4-4-2. Could our midfield then cope?

Very important for MM to do some managing right now. I feel a little like I am back in the DJ era with the lack of rotation the squad gets.

The next two games could make our season. Let's be more attacking, bring in some speed, and open up a little.

MM has to give some of the hungry players a run and let some of those they may be feeling mentally tired sit it out. If he does not get this team through this patch, his rep as a manager will go down very quickly.

The midfield would be transformed if Whitts was played further forward. I wouldn't go 4-4-2 but I would include Kimbo, Noone, Gunnarson and Bellamy alongside Whitts. We have to adopt a less defensive approach away from home and that means leaving Cowie and Conway on the bench. I doubt this would happen but for once I wish MM would be more adventurous and set up the side to win and not to sneak a win which seems to be his approach.

When DJ was our manager he hated playing against a 5 man midfield, so i'd go with.

4-5-1

with Noone, Gunnar, Cowie, Kim & Bellers.

I said on another thread, with Huds and Turner out, we need to protect the back 4, so 5 in the middle for me. Smith on the right and Bellamy on the left, pushing on to support Campbell with Whitts, Gunnar and Cowie in the middle. As a change, Mason on the right.

With Rudy, Kimbo, Conway and Mason on the bench, we've plenty of change options.
