Squawka seem to think so (just!): http://squawka.com/news/2013/11/15/...that-have-defined-their-season/2013111535814?
I'm not sure I'd read to much into that review. Whilst they have some interesting stats and graphics (The shot radar inparticular) the last passage as follows [The issue Norwich have is scoring goals, caused by some poor investments in the summer which could come back to haunt them at the end of the season. New strikers Van Wolfswinkel, Hooper and Johan Elmander have contributed just two goals between them this season, putting pressure on the rest of the side to find the net. Fer and Redmond already look like inspired signings and are creating chances aplenty, but Hughton needs to get his star forwards firing once more if Norwich are to secure a place in next season’s Premier League campaign.] is just to simplistic a response. They have not scored so they were poor investments! Give RvW or Hooper chances (Good chances) and I really think they'll score. They really need to take a look if there are any bullets before blaming the gun! Bah!
Interesting that they rate Howson so highly this season. Personally I think he has been outstanding and kicked on from his excellent finish to last season. Praising Fer and Redmond is hardly a shock and it is easy to criticise forwards who have not scored. They have not played much or had many chances but they do make an easy target. I think we are playing better this season than last (for the most part). I think that our style has improved and we have superior personnel and that ultimately we will start to get some better results. I think that RvW and Hooper will cut it in the PL and so IF we can give them chances they will score.
It took Dennis Bergkamp eight games before he scored his first goal for Arsenal and he was starting to get written off as a flop by then. Just sayin'
Totally agree - they have been playing 'off crumbs' I seem to recall that Osvaldo (who cost more than RvW and Hooper together) hasn't been scoring hatfuls of goals at Saints!!!!
RvW and Hooper have never been fit at the same time, Hooper comes back from Injury then RvW gets injured. So those stats about how many our strikers have scored is pointless. RvW movement on the pitch shows promise and as soon as he learns about this league I have no doubt he will start scoring more goals.
Yes, and well done the Saints. We'll be hauling you back a bit in a little while though, just you see.
