Just reading an article on WoL by Carl Curtis talking about traveling restrictions as at WH and the massive steps forward City have made in erradicating bad behaviour.

Got me thinking, there's often a bit of handshaking between opposing players, walking down the line, especially at internationals or cup finals. :emoticon-0150-hands

Perhaps we should look to get some oposing fan handshaking going on. We could get some ambasador role or fan representative to meet with an equivalent from the away fans in front of the away support, exchange pennants or some such, especially if you get youngsters involved. A bit of a pre-kick off love in. <hug>

Doesn't have to do away with the banter but would be another step on the journey to a friendly place to come to watch football. It would also provide more amunition in getting rid of bubble trips when Cardiff are away. Give it a few seasons and even Wolves may let us visit. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

A great idea. but the decent fans have been rubbing along well together for many years, it's just the half heads that every club is cursed with that can't except the fact , that football whilst a very large and important part of a lot of our lives is not war.

When away fans get attacked (like Cardiff fans at Loftus Rd last season) well they have the right to defend themselves if the police won't do it, any initiative like the one you suggest would be welcome and would help, but there are incorrigibles at every club who want to kick off no matter what..............fortunately these idiots are becoming less and less in number as time goes on, but will they die out all together, somehow I doubt it, a shame, but a reflection on todays society <ok>

Idiocy and being in a 'firm' is by no means restricted to people from poor backgrounds. You don't have to look very far at all to realsie that!!!
Money is no object to a lot of these people.
 
I know things are getting better and the family award is a fine achievement. I was just thinking that the violence is visible and reported but the getting along just happens. the more visible the good side becomes the less excuse the likes of WH have for restricting attendance and the more of a point is made to the numpties that we are interested in the positive and not the negative.

Unfortunately not, responsible, decent people pay their rent/mortgages and look after their families........their disposable income is then spent on CCFC, (or whatever their passion happens to be)

The half heads, or those I have met, have a totally different set of priorities, and get to the game for a tear up no matter what, when I was a kid, Cardiff City was a huge part of my life, and probably the most important thing in it.

CCFC is still a big part of my life, but as you get older (shut up Sparkey ;)) your priorities change, (going to weddings instead of the first home game <grr>)

A lot of these half heads put football and punch ups above everything..........I can understand it, and can't criticise it, but I've just out grown it (believe it or not ;))
