Cheers! <ok> Pleased with the performance today! Good luck against Stoke, rarely hope for a Sunderland win but I could do with us staying in the top 4!

    Cheers,

My mate's going to the Sunderland match tomorrow after receiving free tickets as a member of the armed forces. Genuinely meant it when I wished him luck as I despise Stoke and would love to stay in the top 4 for another week!

As for Newcastle, I think the fact we're picking up points, regardless of performance is great, but my God I'd like to see us play like that every week. So much more fluid and concise! HTL!

I want the mackems to win too, not just for those reasons, for the sake of football.

TBH today was our real test in 5 matches ... Both Arsenal and the mackems were in shambles ,Fulham were tired and QPR are a newly promoted team. But I'm really looking forward to mid November when we'll be playing City, United and Chelsea in quick succession, a make or break month for me...

I'm glad some people are finally coming round to the fact that we should do well. <ok>

So many people tipped us to struggle or even to be relegated, and I never, ever understood why. Coloccini, Tiote, Cabaye, Krul and Saylor are all top players, with even players like Best becoming unlikely but formidable goal threats. This is before we've even got Ben Arfa back, who is arguably our most creative player (although I think he'll be battling with Cabaye for that crown after todays performance).

I firmly believe Tiote and Cabaye will grow into top 4 team quality players. Couple them with Ben Arfa when he's back to full speed and I'd genuinely call that the best midfield trio outside of the top 5, just behind Spurs with VDV and Modric.

Times are good and I think times will get better. Hopefully now people can start taking us seriously instead of writing us off. I obviously don't expect us to do incredibly well, but certainly better than most expect.

I don't think you lot have the most gifted set of footballers in the league but you look organised which is the key thing in any match. Prime example is Best. Not a great player but when the service is right he'll get goals and credit to him for it. We've looked out of ideas after just 4 games...never a good sign.

In terms of tomorrow i'm worried. Football v Rugby. If we win I'll be bouncing, if we draw I'll be disappointed, if we get beat then I'm signing up for the Bruce out brigade...

Stoke look a strong team this year who I think will finish in the top 7 this year, unfortunately that will defo be ahead of both of us.

Credit where credits due and all that, certainly hit the ground running. Boro, Hartlepool and Gateshead aren't doing badly for themselves either. Cabaye certainly seems a good acquisition but whats happened to Tiote so far, one season wonder perhaps? (He wouldn't be the first.)
