Off Topic Immigration....What should we do ?

Many foreign immigrants have enriched this country immensely since the end of WW2 and i welcome any immigrant that have been persecuted by their own country and seek refuge here.......The problem i have is when i see all these people trying to get over here by any means possible from France. I cant see that they are all in fear of their lives and the majority are just looking for a better life and that reason we should not entertain. The question i want to know is why these men have abandoned their females and young children to face as they claim persecution and ran away to save themselves. Im sure i would want to protect my family no matter what. I would also want to know why the united nations are not involved as it is a global issue not just a European issue. I believe we should help but we cannot afford to let foreigners in for the reason of wanting a better life. We as the UK have given Billions in foreign aid over the years and its obvious it not going where it is truly needed and a total re think needs to be done to better spend the aid where it is needed most......

 

I have no problem with anyone coming here to better their lives. As long as they get a job and commit no crimes then they are improving our country much more than the scummy chavs who don't want to work and just feel that they are owed a living by the benefits system.

If someone is the best person for the job then I don't care where they come from. 'Jobs for the Boys' is just a dressed up term for corruption and I find that more of an issue than immigration.

I moved to Australia because I wanted to improve my life - I wasn't being persecuted in the UK, I just simply wanted something better. There's nothing wrong with that is there ?

If anyone who is not a British national commits a crime whilst here they should simply be kicked out of the country.

 

The two main problems that I see with immigration are that we are no longer manufacturing everyday items and although still a relatively wealthy country we are no longer creating the wealth for the majority of our citizens. The second problem is that Adam Smith a famous economist put our optimum population at 25,000,000 it is now approaching 70,000,000. Put these two factors together and we are going to have a major problem with our education and health services. Indeed this seems to be happening. There is also going to be a strain on our infrastructure of transport, power and water etc. and by the state of our roads this is already happening. The fact that someone needs to go abroad to improve their lives suggests that opportunities to do this here are limited for the reasons stated. I am approaching the end of my lifetime and will hopefully not have to worry about this. I do however feel concern for what the future holds for our children and grandchildren.

 

This country at present is on Bikini Red alert and that means a terrorist attack is more imminent than not and for that reason alone we have to be very careful who we let in. Go and ask any nurse or NHS worker and they will tell you we are bursting to the seams and they are struggling to cope. Hundreds of operations are cancelled every day and they are our own British citizens. This country is over crowded and we need to toughen up big time because we are living in dangerous times and im sorry but British people must be protected and come first. If an immigrant can prove he is in fear for his life then i would ask why the rest of his family are not with him.....We are too soft and its time to really get tough and have the guts to say NO and mean it, go and try somewhere else closer to your home land as we cannot take anymore.....

terror this doesn't happen often but im totally with you on this......he`s fallen hook line and sinker for the terrorist threat>>>>>he doesn't realise the threat is there because of Britain has a similar foreign policy 2 that of the yanks.

You probably have to be a current or ex service personnel to understand that phrase tbh. im sure they would know...If people think what happened in Tunisia and 3 other places on the same day cant happen here then they don't understand how high the risk is at the moment.....It's never been higher....

Its the highest type of alert any country can be in. Its a universal term on how ready we have to be. this alert means terrorist activity is imminent...

Immigrants aren't the problem, ignorance is! Go and look at how much immigrants bring into this country, its far more than they take out!

 

Its a government military term of what state the country is in. it works the same as traffic lights ...green is the most normal state with amber next and the highest which we are in at present Red.....see you can learn something new everyday....
